This saw is highly recommended for beginning users of Japanese Saws. This small Japanese hand saw is used for scoring and cutting panels or veneer. The ''Woodpecker'' hook tooth at the tip ''V'' end of the blade is used to scratch line to start the first cut. Metal backbone (Dozuki) helps keep the blade stiff. 7-1/2'' Long cane Wrapped wood handle.

  • 0.3mm (.012'' ) thick blade

This was my first Japanese pull saw and I tell you what...I am totally impressed. The helpful guy at the Rockler store helped me and explained how to use it properly. Definitely recommend
