This blade's specially designed triple chip tooth design produces extremely smooth, true surfaces for gluing and finish work. There is no need for sanding or jointing after the cut. The ideal working range is from 1/8" to 1" thick. This blade also features laser cut anti-vibration slots, practically eliminating the vibration that resonates in standard blades. With this ultimate ripping blade, there is no need for stabilizers.

The Perma-SHIELD® coating covers the blade plate and cutting edge in a protective layer, reducing heat build-up. Perma-SHIELD® blades resist binding in large volume cutting, reducing subsequent blade warp. The coating lubricates the blade, allowing it to spin freely, and eliminates pitch and debris build-up on the blade.

Also available with the economical Silver I.C.E™ coating.

I got some 8/4 cherry and neede a blade that could rip it reliably. I had used other Freud blades before and never had a problem with any of them. So since the rip blade I had been using was "far from high quality" no comment - it came 'free' with another blade in a special at a big box store, I got one of these to try. Even though my saw is only 1-3/4 hp, it had no problems with the cherry at all. Out of about 200' of ripping total, I had ONE burn mark my own fault - 'cockpit error', and had beautiful smooth glue edges that required no sanding. As I said, I've never had a single problem with a Freud blade.

By far the best rip blade I have ever used. It really does produce glue line edges that require no further work. Highly recommended.

I had been using the vendor supplied saw blade on my SawStop table saw. I was getting burn marks and glue ups were not as tight as I wanted on laminated multiwood cutting boards I was making. The Freud Glue Line Rip Blade has produced excellent cuts with no burn marks. I am very pleased.

Smooth, straight cuts in oak and maple with no burning, and relatively little left to do before glue-up. An excellent blade, especially at this price.

Using this ripping blade almost elliminates the need for joining edges prior to glue-up or assembly.

Save your money and buy a cheap blade. Used my new blade once to rip some 4/4 cherry. It left saw and burn marks. Definitely not good for gluing cuts. Will take a lot of sanding just to use the wood for outside surfaces. Definitely not worth the money.

The Freud blade dosen't leave quite as smooth an surface as others I've used but it seems to cut squarer. I recommend it.
