Customer Rating:
I had always used homemade wooden featherboards, but I purchased this on a whim. It is way better. I use it constantly, because it is so easy to set up and to remove. Very well designed. Two quick twists and it is right where I want it, and it is removed just as easily. Not only does it make my cuts straighter and more consistent, it provides a bit of a guard between the blade and my hands.

This continues to be an excellent addition to the shop. First, setup is easy since the feathers have just enough flexibility. Second, the miter slot hardware metal riders and threaded knob with metal insert looks to be durable. Third, it would be close to impossible to make a traditional hardwood version for less than the sale price I got on this one 50% off.

Item works great, Saves my little pinkys from the blade.Installed it on my older craftman table saw with a dado blade. Now I need one for my newer Craftsman table saw I used for ripping. Been moving back and forth from one saw to another. Will order another for sure.

In response to the review that says this featherboard doesn't work with t-track miter slots, it does for mine. I have a Delta contractor saw, which has a 't' shaped miter slot. This featherboard works just great with my slot. It tightens down very well.
Other than that, this piece seems like a great value. It is versatile, works easy, and gets the job done.

Ordered the new feather board because I had misplaced the old one in my cluttered shop. Found the old one but this new feather board from Rockler at virtually the same price is so superior I will hang the old one up for a spare. Great quality tool and the shipping though always expensive to Alaska was very fast. Am totally pleased with Rockler tools and their prompt service.

Very nice and easy to use. I don't have a miter gauge slot on my router table so I drilled two holes and used 5/16" bolts with the included knobs. They work great and keep my hands out of danger.

Haven't had a chance to use this product yet but appears to be well made and very stout. I have an old Craftsman 10" table and the mitre slot is 5/8", the featherboard is 3/4" so it appears I now have an excuse to purchase a new table saw. Ain't progress great? :-)

A must have when cutting on a table saw! A safety device that everyone should be using, it's like working with an extra pair of hands so you can keep a safe distance from cutting blade. I only purchased one featherboard to try it out, well worth the price. I will purchase another!

It would work great if it fit the saw. No one even suggested that it might not and clerk knew I was no expert. To say "ideal for use with any tool that has a standard 3/8" x 3/4" miter" is not enough. At least the push stick was size neutral.

Works great on my Porter Cable table saw. It doesn't work as well in my cheap Sears router table. I haven't checked to see if the groove is deeper or wider yet. The nice thing is that it does keep my hands away from the sharp fast spinning carbide steel so that I can still count to ten when I'm done. Safety has no holiday !

Nice and beefy and doesn't move around. Needs to be in your miter slot. Nothing wrong with taking a little extra time to improve your safety and get better end results. It is very easy to setup and adjust and it works well.

I picked up two of these during the winter clearance, I should have gotten them a long time ago! They fit perfectly in the miter slot, and when tightened down they _stay_ down. These featherboards are very flexible (no pun intended) in their application - I use them on the table saw for ripping, band saw for resawing, and router table for all sorts of profiles. One of the best woodworking accessories you can get.

I use it often, but not as often as I would like. I have a Jet 10" table saw, and the miter slot is farther from the fence than the adjustment length of the featherboard slot, so often I cannot get close enough to my fence to use the featherboard.

Customer Rating:
These Rockler featherboards are vastly superior to the Bench Dog brand of featherboards. First on the Rockler both knobs tighten in the mitre slot giving a very secure hold. On the Bench Dog only one tightens which allows the featherboard to slip unless you risk stripping the threads in the knob (I've done this). Second the parallel slots to adjust the distance from the blade work so much easier on the ROckler than the angled slot in the Bench Dog. Finally The Rockler brand is less expensive. I wouldn't buy anything else.

Great product. I bought my first two at the Woodworking show in Atlanta 2 years ago and use them constantly in my shop, either on my table saw, router table, shaper or band saw. I bought two more this year at the show. They are very easy and quick to use and improve the quality of the cut greatly. One thing that I had not expected was how much they help when resawing on the band saw when using the fence. I have to say again how quick they are to use.

Worth every penny! I have four of these and use them all the time. There's nothing better than knowing your hands won't be near that blade in order to get a nice clean straight cut, and that board won't get kicked back into your gut or worse. Fast and easy to set up, everyone should be using featherboards and for the safety, price, and quality, no one can't afford to be using these.

Even though I gave this product an excellent rating.(I own several) I was very disappointed in the fact that the brass insert in one of the knobs was to big for the 5/16 tap that they run through which made it useless. Fortunately I had an extra knob that I could use. I have purchased many, many products from Rockler over the years and this is the first time I have recieved faulty equipment.

I must agree with the others. This is the best featherboard that I have and I have 4 of them. It is the only one that holds tightly in the miter slot. I attribute it to the metal rather than plastic hold bars. Great! I wish all were like this.

The concept is great, however, if your saw has a T-track for the miter gauge instead of a simple 'groove' this product will NOT work for you (this is my problem).
