Just opened letter opener 61290.Looks like quality of kit is fine.
I was disappointed with the items missing in the instructions.
I am an officer of a large turning club and have turned many pens.
Here is the problem I find with instructions:
1) Tell turners what size wood is needed. I will assume it is the length of the brass barrel.
2) What size bushings are required to turn. I found them in you detailed info under additional info on your web page. Note we have at least 11 members who do not have use of a computer.
3) Just call drill bit "O", a 5/16 brad point bit. Most everyone has one.
4) Most pen turners don't use a Jacobs chuck. I haven't used one since Shopsmith days. Most us the #2 Morse taper mandel.
