I have traditionally used push saws, but tried a cheap pull saw from Irwin several months back that I found useful. These saws had good reviews, so I bought one.
I really hate it. I found it extremely difficult to cut a straight line. I finally sighted down the blade after the 8th bad cut and saw that the blade was not very straight. Maybe that was a flaw that caused my problems, I have not tried it since I attempted to straighten the blade by hand pressure so that it at least looks right.
I had some problems with it binding too, but maybe that was also related to the blade being bent a little.
Editor's note: If blade was recieved bent or defective our customer service team at 800-376-7856 will be able to assist you with this John.

I bought only the flush cut saw. Cuts relatively quickly but also leaves a fairly smooth surface. Doesn't mark the surrounding surface as long as you don't put too much downward pressure (ie some sanding will still be involved). Extremely flexible, so be careful on the push stroke.

These saws are great! Even my first hand cut dovetails turned out good. They are fast cutting, easy to control and leave a smooth finish.
