The mixer lift is heavy duty, unlike others I have tried. It was easy to install in our kitchen and it supports the mixer without wobbling when it is running. It is an excellent product and I would highly recommend it.

This took a few tries to get the feel of the lift, but once it was familiar to me, I am perfectly happy with it.It supports my large mixer, and there is room underneath to store large cutting/pastry boards, rolling pins, and extra mixer parts. I highly reccommend it for anyone who has a cabinet to spare. We were remodeling our kitchen so we allowed for it.

This lift was easy to install and has adjustable tension for various mixer weights. Product seems well made and directions are more than adequate for installation. I would recommend this to help clear clutter from countertops.

We had this unit installed in our new home in 2005. It has worked beautifully and holds my wife's K6 KitchenAid mixer easily. The only issue she has with it is that, due to the height of the mixer, she has to slide the mixer forward before she can raise or lower it from the cabinet. No biggee but an annoyance, none the less.

I needed to make it easy for my Wife to lift her Serger up onto the sewing table. I used the heavy duty mixer lifter for this purpose.

Your directions were easy to follow and accurate. The installation went very smooth and took only about an hour including some cabinet rework. My father is very happy with his new cabinet mixer stand. Thanks.

My husband installed the Heavy duty mixer lift and I have to tell you this is the best product ever made. I have wanted one for many years and couldn't find one until I discovered Rockler. Many thanks for your products.

Twenty or so yaers ago, at a different location, I had installed the hardware in that kitchen, My wife loved it. We left it behind when we moved to this location which is a hundred year old house. There were no modern cabinets in the kitchen so I have gradually built them. For Christmas this year I bought my wife a long desired Kitchenaide mixer. This entailed an additional base cabinet. The lift will keep the kitchen more orderly. She's thrilled.

It was easy to install and works great. It also arrived quicker than I anticipated. More importantly my wife was happy to have the stand!

My wife has an affinity against appliances sitting out on her countertops so when I bought her a KitchenAid mixer I immediately began searching for a way to allow her to put it away when not in use. The measurements given showed I would have room even though I had a drawer at the top of the cabinet. Not true, but I was able to cut two small slots in the bottom that allowed it to work. She's a fairly short person so the lower height was actually better for her. Well built product and works great!

My wife loves it! It's easy to operate and the mixer does not take up valuable counter space when not in use.
Installation was fairly easy; it took about 3 hours not counting the shelf. Shelf glue up and finishing another couple of hours and an overnight for the finish to dry.

This item does not work well with the 475 watt bowl lift Kitchen Aid. We have a cabinet we wanted to install the unit in. Well this cabinet has a drawer above the location. After installing the hardware it was noticed the unit was too tall for this application(17"). If the location did not have this drawer I believe there would be no problem.

Long story short - don't buy this accessory if your cabinet has a drawer at top. They mean what they say - it won't fit. I doubted their directions and was inspired by a review that I read on another site that said doctoring your existing cabinets to fit this in was possible... yeah - no. Save yourself the time and the shipping!

Wwe install appliance lifts in our custom cabinets. We recently had to replace a Rev-a-Shelf lift for a customer who was experiencing excessive side-to-side movement, especially when using a dough hook on her Kitchen Aid mixer. The side-to-side movement was so violent that it threatened to throw the mixer to the floor.
Rev-a-Shelf ordinarily designs and builds very good quality products. This is not, unfortunately, one of them. Not at all "heavy duty".

It was fairly easy to install, but I do have a few observations. First, the combination of a 12" base cabinet and an 8" wide mixer gave me no room to spare. I had to change the hinges to get the door out of the way and router down the face frame a bit so the rivets could pass. I would keep to a minimum of a 15" base cabinet. Second, the dimensions in the instructions have a bit of "play" in them. I strongly suggest test fitting at every step. I wouldn't put this lift in a cabinet with a drawer. It is a bit wobbly until locked into position. Overall, I am very happy with this unit.

I am quite pleased with the mechanism, but do want to point out that the printed dimension for the face rail under the counter is 1.5". Anything wider should be accounted for by lowering the Rev-A-Shelf mechanism. I made mine 1.875" to match the rails on my cabinets and unfortunately my KitchenAid Pro 600 mixer must be sat at the front edge of the shelf board to just clear with a hair of clearance! The only disappointment was the number of screws supplied was noticeably short and since I wanted it to be secure I had to buy a couple dozen more - no big deal, but why not supply the proper number!

Although we like our mixer lift, there are several issues of which buyers need to be aware. While the hardware is extremely easy to install, there is some side-to-side 'wiggling' when lifting and lowering the shelf. This is inherent in the design of the hardware. Please note that if you have a heavy stand mixer, you will need two hands to pull out the shelf. The shelf IS secure once it is up and latched; but on the way up and down you've got to take care.
