It was replaced no questions asked. I purchased 4 (48") more a few weeks later and .....one snapped exactly like the first time. Replaced no questions asked. I did not crank on it. I do like them a lot: light and easy to use. I haven't experienced the binding issue reported by others.

I especially like the offset crank handle lets me have more control over the pressure than the screw handle type of my other clamps. The large pads do not mar the wood as much. They rest steadily on the bench, thereby holding the work piece in place and flat. I highly recommend them.

7) Submitted by Jerry Parrish, from Parkville, MO on 7/9/2009 Customer Rating: Great clamp unless I have to clamp a 48" piece. The bolts at the end prevent them from extending all the way to the 48". other than that, they are great, light weight and easy to use.
