Here is an example of how strong this glue is. I made a desk and while gluing up the table top /desk top I was unsure how long Iwanted it 50 or 54 in so Iglued it up 56 in and cut it to the right size at 50 in.  I have always been curious how strong it really is. With the 6 in strip that was 5 pieces that where joined toghter w/biscuits to took it slammed it on the concret floor in my basment woodshop around 45 deg, it did break apart but not at a seam it broke apart 1 in away from a seam it ripped the RED OAK apart and NOT at a joint. WOW, Titebond is and will always be the wood glue I ever use.

Strong glue... I have been using TiteBond III glue for wood for sometime and knew it was strong, but just recently I found out how strong it is. On a small project I had glued some 1/4” diameter rare earth magnets into shallow holes so that they would act as retainers to another piece of wood that had the same size magnets likewise glued into shallow holes. Some time later, months,  I discovered that one of the magnets was installed with the wrong polarity facing outward. To correct this error, I have to pry out the magnet and reverse it, and re-glue it back in. The magnet was really bonded in well. After a bit of work I was able to get it out. After getting it free, I noticed that it looked odd on the glued side. A closer look reveled that the thin nickel plating had pulled free of the back side of the magnet and was still stuck to the bottom of the hole where the magnet had been. These magnets have a shiny, polished exterior, so there was noting for the Titebond III to really “grip”, but it still managed to hold on to the plating well enough to strip it off the side of the magnet. In my opinion, that’s bonding power.

I joined three boards with biscuits and Titebond III. One was perfect and set up in about 25 minutes. The other, I squeezed way too much glue and the joint failed. I could even pull the biscuits out of the slot because it was still wet. I cleaned up the mess and re-glued it without using too much and it set up just fine. So, be careful not to use too much.

Bought a few quarts to glue up a workbench. Been using it with ambient temperature below 50 Deg. F. No problems with joint failer.

I thoroughly agree with the other comments praising Titebond III but I wanted to add that what drew it to me was that it will set in 45 deg F while Titebond II requires 55 Deg F. That was important for several wintertime projects in my garage.

This is the best wood glue ever. It dries quickly and created a perfect seal.

I've used Titebond I and II for years. There are scrap pieces in my basement that were glued up 30 years ago and are still tight as now. This waterproof version takes it a step further.
