I got this for my newly built semi-recessed medicine cabinet. I used inset hinges and needed a stop for the door and this fit the bill perfectly. The soft close performs exactly as it should and I have absolutely no fear that the glass door will be in danger if it is ever slammed shut. I can say my cabinet is now 100% wife proof!

Prouduct worked as advertised, were simple to install. Great for newly built, as well as retrofit into existing cabinets. Would highly recommend this product.

Was happy to discover these little shock absorbers! Well built, look professional and simple. My doors are inserts, so the mounting took a lot of time and a few redos. Once I closed the door on a newly mounted absorber, I found myself wishing for a fine adjustment to align the face with the door front. Am wondering how long these little shocks will work?

These stops make my cabinets seem even nicer than the ones that were built and installed by a professional cabinet shop! Blum products are really excellent. Buy these, you won't be sorry.

I like to offer these to clients as an inexpensive upgrade. Two things to say about the housings: they're never going to fail because they're metal and they don't look cheap. Great product!

Got the double plunger in a housing. These are the slickest things I have come across. My cabinet doors are solid oak, and they banged! These little guys slowed them to a very quiet thump.

I needed to re-engineer two kitchen cabinet doors from normal open to a vertical lift open (to make room for a new refrigerator). [I also used Rockler Lift-o-Matic gas springs.] I installed one each of the full overlay Blumotion shock absorbers and they work great, even though each door weighs about 20 lbs.
NOTE: The instructions called for a 10mm drill bit, which I did not have. Instead I used a 3/8 inch bit and just intentionally rounded out the hole - no problem.

I used these throughout my kitchen and they are a great invention. Prevents doors from slamming, which could lead to cracking. I do notice some inconsistency in that some doors of the same size and weight close harder than others. Also for larger doors needed to use two pistons to achieve the proper closure. Overall quite satisfied with the device.

Hesitated to get the double-barrel version: although it installs faster and looks better than the singles, the center is not always the best place for the plungers. The door, esp. I think a light door, may tend to bounce back if it hits the plunger fast, instead of easing the door shut. Great product, wish it cost less!

These are great - really add a nice touch, and I would give them five stars, except the Blumotion for Doors is even better. The springs on the cabinet versions (in this review) are a little weak, and many of my doors required two (one at the top and one at the bottom) to really work effectively. Blumotion for doors (Rockler #25756 for the compact ones, which install in any door, or #28631 if you have the Blum clip-top hinges) have a stronger spring and install on the hinge side, which gets them way out of the way.

I had my doubts about this product but it has exceeded all my expectations. The hardest part was finding a 10mm bit to drill the holes which no one seemed to carry. If you are bothered by slamming cabinet doors, this product is for you.
