With my 42" lcd flat panel television being relatively light in weight, this TV pullout is definitely overkill for my application. However, the cheaper units only offered an average of 14" for the pullout travel. I needed at least 22" for my case. It would be nice if the manufacturer filled the gap between the available models by providing a unit that is slightly less hefty than the $600 model and has better extension than the $100 model.
With this unit being so hefty, the manufacturer has apparently minimized the top side protection to just that of the products cardboard box. For my unit, the right front corner of the top swivel plate arrived bent down, which most likely occurred during shipping. No biggie, I used some pliers to bend it back.

Easy to install. Worked well in converting cabinet from old projection tv to new flat screen plasma. Only complaint is that the optional brackets do not line up with mounting holes on tv and separate mounting is needed to attached [TV} to optional brackets.
Editor's note: refer to technical documents in this offer for installation info. For flat panel installation installer makes a plywood panel to mount to the optional brackets and then mounts the flat panel TV to the plywood panel like one would mount TV to a wall.
