These thick galvanized steel bed rail brackets form a rigid knock-down connection between the bed rails, headboard and footboard, all with the ease and speed of surface mounted installation. Unlike other bed rail brackets, there is no need to mortise into the rails and posts. Just screw them in place—all bed rail hardware is hidden from view.

Can't say about the ease of installation, since these came on a purchased bunkbed. However, I can address durability. I just had one bedrail attachment fail "prematurely" after 25+ years of continuous, and hard service on a bunkbed / 2 twin bed combo. Very happy with the lifespan considering it went thru 4 kids, with one grown adult still using it in the twin bed setup. Will be buying 2 sets and replacing all hardware so it is ready for the grandkids.  Hardware hasn't changed right down to the 2 little holes in the side of the head/foot board hardware.

These brackets were very easy to install even without directions. They seem to be good and strong. The long run will tell.

Bought these for beds for my granddaughters. Since I was pressed for time, I thought these would be faster to install. They worked out perfectly. They are actually heavier than the picture shows. Accurately drill the mounting holes, attach with your own screws none supplied and - that's it. It took longer to layout the holes than it took to install. Definitely will be using these in the future.

I used these hangers on my newest bed king size, mahogany, platform style because they looked much easier to install than the galvanized steel "router" style. Wow was I correct! Installs in easily 75% less time. The fit is solid if you take your time marking your drill holes. These fit as close or closer than the galvanized steel version. I would easily choose this style over any other style of bed rail fastener.

I have used these bed hangers before along with other types and I have to say that these are about the easiest to install. There is no pre-mortising or drill in order to accomodate the hook portion of the hanger so it can be installed after the rest of the bed is completed and finished. Their simplicity removes all of the guess work and reduces the time from the date of the customer order to delivery.

Very easy to use, and seem sturdy. Made a set of bunk beds over a year ago with them and the twins (who can destroy an anvil) had no problem with them at all. If I build another set, I'll use them again.

Very easy to install, they seem adequate structurally and easy to use. They are of much lighter construction than the Surface Mounted Keyhole Bed Rail Brackets (item #32077)I have been using on previous projects, which may be an advantage or a disadvantage, depending on whether a child enjoys jumping on the bed, etc. I would not hesitate to use them again, especially considering the cost compared to the other type.

These brackets were very easy to install. I didn't use them to assemble a bed frame; I made a small wooden frame love seat and these brackets made a very sturdy base. Thanks for a great product that was easy to use.

I'm a first-time builder with very little experience. I bought these with plans to build a four-post, queen-size bed. I've read of some confusion with similar products, some people wondering if you need one set or two. If you plan to build a frame, one set is all you need. However, if you want your rails to attach to posts, you're going to need two sets.
I'm a college student about to get married. My wife and I will be living in a second-floor studio apartment, and we needed a bed frame that could be taken apart and assembled inside. Plus it was a fun project. The fasteners were simple enough to install (even for a beginner like myself), and the bed is sturdy.

I picked these brackets because they looked like they would be easy to install. They were. I used them on a king size bed. This is my concern though in that I'm leary about these things holding up over time with such a large bed. Also, even though I feel I was meticulous in laying out the screw holes there is still some "rock" to the bed. The brackets don't hold the long rails tight enough to the large headboard and footboard. So at this time I'd recommend them for smaller beds but be careful applying them to larger beds.

Good quality, resonable price and does the job. I would have appreciated hardware included but I can understand why they wouldn't want to boost the product cost when many applications might need a variety of different fasteners.

These bed rail brackets are easy to install. The next time I think I will purchase brackets that need to be mortised. Thanks again.

Perfect for what I was building and a heck of a bargain. I only needed two but got four, now I can build another because I already have the brackets.

This was a very easy product to use. I especially liked the staples manufactured into the hook receiver. It made setting the system much easier and faster than the traditional "hook & pin". My customer was very pleased with how easy it was to assemble and disassemble. I also appreciate the economical pricing of it as opposed to other bed hanger systems.

Purchased this to mount the headboard and footboard to siderails for a bed, as an alternative to the normal hook and pin system they put in factory beds (don't have the right tools to set up a system like that on this bed project).
Although I haven't installed them yet (still cutting and sanding) it appears that they are pretty well made. From the reviews I thought they would be a little more substantial, as it appears they are made out of kind of a stamped grade of metal. That being said, I think they will actually be fine and hold the thing pretty well.
Read the directions that come with these things, as they are numbered and not all the same, and use the suggested screw sizes for a good fit. They surface mount and then are hidden in the interior corner of the bed from view.

The bed rail fasteners were easy to install/use. There were no instructions; but, with just a little thought it was apparent how each faster should be attached to either the head/foot board or side rail. I was a little disappointed in the quality. The steel is somewhat thin. However, given the price maybe I should have anticipated a light guage of steel. A fair product for the price.

The old ones on my boyfriend's bed sheared off. This was the only place that we could find them. It was wonderful. And they worked perfectly.

We purchased an antique double bed which did not include the rails. I bought a piece of 5/4 oak and made new rails. The head and foot boards only measured 53 3/8 inches and a mattress measures 54 inches, so I had to add pieces to the head and foot boards which made the original fasteners of no use. The galvanized fasteners arrived within two days and were just what this project needed. The bed is absolutely sturdy, the fasteners are hidden, and the bed can be taken down very quickly should we ever need to move it from our guest room. The directions which accompanied the fasteners were very clear and easy to follow.

We made a bed with this bed rail fasteners. It worked out perfectly and strong construction. I searched for a suitable fastener all over the internet and this was the one I settled with. I would recommend getting this one. Thanks for a great product from Rockler.

I made a youth bed for my oldest grandchild about 15 years ago using your product. Our youngest son had their first child and he just turned two. They want borrow the bed from our daughter but she didn't want to give it up, so I made one for him and then my wife also wanted one for our house. Now I have others who want me to make them one.....I guess I am going into the bed making business. The rail fasteners work great for this application, easy to put up and take down.

I needed to make a bed frame for my daughter that could be easily broken down and reassembled. These did the trick! They assemble and break down real easy. The PDF file with the directions was easy to download and print, and was easy to understand for anyone with marginal building skills. I will probably use this again for other bed frame orders!

Very good product. I used to replaced original hardware on a solid oak bed. The original hardware were steel angular brackets. They required screwing on/off to disassemble the bed. The screws that support those brakets had become loose over time and the bed frame was noisy.
This product was easy to install. It resolved the noise on the bed and it will be very easy to disassemble and assemble the bed if it needs it.

This product works very well and is very easy to install. One review said to follow the instructions carefully, but there were no instructions. (If you can't figure them out, though, you probably got no business building a bed). [In]the website picture the male end appears to either turn 90 degrees, or extend past the end of the side of the rail -it does neither. It is offset for a flush mount on the end of the side rail with enough room to slide in the female part. You can figure it out!

Edges are sharp and a little hard to assemble. If you plan on moving the bed (or whatever you use them on) frequently I suggest you use a different style. These were easier to install. Locating spiikes on Female half of bracket handy for assuring proper placement during installation. Just tap into place and then screw into rail.

Good for small bed with 3/4" rails. The steel is thin. Not for a heavy bed!

I just installed this product in a bed I built for my son. It is very strong and easy to set up. However, the drawing shown in the is incorrect as the piece with the hooks must be installed almost flushed with the bed railings (the drawing shows the hooks protruding past the bed railing).
