This multi-purpose blade will cut stacks of manmade wood products as well as hardwood and softwood up to 2-3/4" thick. The blade's deep gullets and TCG rip and crosscut through hardwoods and softwoods with ease. Although the ideal working range is 1/2" to 2-3/4" thick, thinner or thicker materials may be cut, resulting in some loss of surface finish.

The Silver I.C.E.™ (Industrial Cooling Element) coating helps resist heat build-up up to two times longer than standard, polished steel blades. The extra protection from heat stress and pitch build-up helps reduce drag, extending the life of your blade and saw motor.

This blade cut very good crosscuts in red oak and excellent ripping.It sure made the chips rattle in the cyclone,it runs true on the arbor and I really like having a blade I can cut small dado's without having to switch blades.I have used other brands of blades but these Freud blades are what I am going to stick with.They cut great and stay sharp,I use the Rockler blade cleaning kit to keep them from getting gunked up with pitch and resin.

This is a good utility blade at a reasonable cost. I like the eighth-inch kerf because it makes cutting pieces to the left of the blade, and cutting narrow dadoes, a lot easier.

This is just one of my MANY Freud Blades. I have used this on many homebuilding and finish carpentry projects over the years.
My late father (a custom carbide tool manufacturer and grinder - NW Carbide Tool & Service) was a fanatic about manufacturing, selling and using ONLY THE BEST when it came to carbide tools.
