I have an older Trend Router table which has a rather clumsy fence adjustment. This gauge allows me to move the fence to the gauge very accurately and makes a real difference to the overall accuracy of my work.

This is a wonderful product. It has a wide base for larger openings. Very Accurate and is a great tool for setting up router bits. Makes the setting up process 10 times easier.

This is my second depth gauge. I seemed to have lost the first one and really missed it so I got this one. I found it to be the most accurate way to set the distance from the fence. I highly recommend having one & hold on to it better than I did with my first one.

I just purchased this guage and it was very handy for cutting the depth for glass and backing on picture frames. Not only did I use it to find the height of the router bit on the table, I used it to find the width to tear out as well. Great find for my shop.

Bought this tool based on reviews. Even though shipping was almost as much as the product, I'm very pleased with my purchase. It's one tool that will get alot of use in my shop. There's alot of accurate measuring devices out there, and I own several of them. This is the only one that will straddle the hole in your router for measuring bit depth. This is a must have tool for the shop.

I have had this tool for 3 years now, and can say it is still in exactly the same shape it was in when I took it out of the package. I use it every weekend, and it gets alot of use. The frame is made of "flimsy" plastic, but has held up very well, and I don't anticipate it breaking anytime soon. The locking mechanism is still "clamping" the metal rule tightly. I feel that for the money, this depth gauge is well worth it. There are more durable, and more expensive depth gauges out there, but for the weekend hobbyist, I think this is just what the doctor ordered.
"I live in NJ, and wish there was a physical store near where I live. My experience with rockler.com is second to none. Not only are your products first rate, but customer service/product support is exceptional. I've called several times, and never received someone on the other end of the phone who was anything but extremely helpful, patient, and friendly. The biggest compliment I can give is that I TRUST Rockler for all my woodworking needs. The only other store I can say that about is LL Bean. My wood working friends in western NJ love Rockler. Keep on keepin' on - and get a store here in Jersey!!" -
