If you already own an 890 series router, it is great, but it is not as smooth as other more expensive router lifts out there. I am using a Rockler base which has the holes to insert the knob to unlock the base, and then the other hole that allows the router to raise and lower. Again, a must have if you are using a PC890 series router and do not want to fork out the $$$ for an expensive lift.
