I had never used pocket screws before I purchased this jig. With this, putting together face frames & carcasses for cabinets is quick & easy. The jig is plastic, so it is a little on the flimsy side. However, I use mine constantly & it is still going strong.

I purchased this jig today and started working with it at 4PM. I have never used pocket holes in my life. I finished constructing a red oak end table by 8PM. It is very easy to use. The joints are super strong and I didn't even use glue. The only complaint I have would be that the drill bit isnt a hex drive and slips in my keyless chuck. Otherwise its perfect. Dont count on the starter screw or plug set, there are about 20 plugs and 30 assorted screws. Needless to say, I won't be using dowels as much any more.

I am a novice woodworker and this tool is a big help to me. My first project using the Kreg Jig was a nighstand for my 7 yr old daughter. The pocket hole jointery was simple and super strong. Now I found it very helpful to use the Kreg Right Angle Clamp when building the carcas of the stand, which I purchased also. A little advertised use for the Kreg jig is to repair. I used it to repair an old store bought computer desk. It tightened it up great.

Awesome! Manual is pretty thick, but I only had to read first paragraph to use. This thing is so easy I must caution you. Do not use this jig if you are interested in mastering other joinery methods. Once you use it you may never want to take the time to learn other types. Very strong joints.
