Includes PushMaster tool, 400 V-nails and instructions, plus a starter assortment of backing nails, flexipoints and screw eyes. PushMaster tool inserts V-nails, flexipoints, backing nails and screw eyes into hard and soft woods. Additional V-nails, backing nails and flexipoints sold separately. V-nails, or frame nails, join the frame corners together to make a tight, firm join. Select a V-nail suitable to the molding height. As a general rule, use a V-nail about 50-60% of the molding height. Flexipoint bendable tabs are used to hold the picture into the frame.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone doing framing, it will be a stable in my work.

First of all, if you plan to use anything but the softest of wood for your frame, forget about the name "Pushmaster" and have a mallet available. No way could I push a nail into fir. [] My only question is that since I almost exclusively use hard wood for my frames. How long can I expect the Pushmaster to last under the mallet? The grip is good however and don't make a mistake. You'll never get the nails out without damaging the frame. All in all, it does what it is supposed to do.
