The ultimate panel cutting accessory! Developed by acclaimed woodworker
Lonnie Bird, Panel-Loc is a combination hand guard and panel hold-down
that provides safer and better cuts when routing raised panels. Orange push blocks not included.
Firmly holds panel down and eliminates unwanted lifting; it places
downward pressure on workpiece 2" away from the fence to prevent
tipping.
Low-friction hold-down strip allows panel to move freely, and is
non-marring.
Comes with 20" long T-Loc accessory track for mounting to most
fences.
Accommodates all horizontal raised panel bits.

I had the stitches removed this past monday. Loosing part of a finger and tearing the end of the next one is something that happens so fast you won’t believe it! It happened while using my raised panel bit to make part of what would (will) become a stacked molding, (and yes I was using a push stick!). The wood was hard and had a knot which required some extra effort to push through the bit; the walnut board kicked up, the push stick hit the bit, my momentum pushed my hand toward the bit and close enough to clip the end of my middle finger and made a mess of the tip of my ring finger. I have had lots of time to think about all the things that I could have done differently but, in my opinion, the simplest would have been to buy this Panel-Loc. It arrived today and I installed in on my router table fence and it doesn’t get in the way at all. I set the fence flush to the bearing on the bit and then install the Panel-Lock, I have a router-lift in my router table so once I set the bit to the fence there is no need to remove the Panel-Loc until the door or molding is finished. (Good quality product)
