Throw your stock miter gauge away! Last summer 2010 I bought a contractor grade table saw second hand. Unfortunately, it did not come with the factory miter gauge. After using the V27 for over a year, I can confidently say that you should toss that cheap piece of junk that came with your saw. In addition to smooth operation, it has proven to be very resilient. I have accidentally dropped it on the floor a few times and it has only needed a quick adjustment once. It's a testament to the engineers who designed it and a real pleasure to use.

After the frustration of failure after failure trying to calibrate the stock miter gauge I decided to try an Incra V27. I honestly expected to be disappointed but was pleasantly surprised when after about 5 minutes of calibration I am now cutting perfectly square cuts over and over. I highly recommend this miter.

Overall a very good product, however, like another reviewer noted, the gauge fence is not 90 degrees to the table. I held my engineers square to the gauge and table and there is a very noticable gap between fence and tablesaw table and there is no adjustment built into the device for this. I plan to add an 18" fence to the gauge and I'm going to shim the fence out so that any lumber that is cut and butted up against the fence is 90 degrees but I feel as though I shouldn't have to do this to a brand new tool, especially one where the company is supposed to be all about precision. For the money, I will keep this gauge and mess with it because, for the most part, it is a solid tool, but I am a little disapointed. This is my first Incra tool and I was expecting more from everything that I've read about this company and heard.

For the money it is a great buy. I have put up with the one that came with my saw for a long time and never was happy with it. This one is accurate and a breeze to use. Should have made the purchase a long time ago.

Set it and forget it! Absolute dead on repeatable accuracy. I believe what makes this miter gauge stand out above the rest is their bar adjustment set up. The best after market miter gauge for the money. I've used this gauge since it came out and I've not had an issue with it.

I was in need of a replacement mitre gauge for a table saw that was "gifted" to me and that I've just recently "rehabilitated".
After reading the reviews, I chose the V27. This is a very good mitre gauge for the cost. I had no difficulty in the setup and adjustment that a couple of others noted. Once aligned, I tested on a couple of scraps for 45 degree cuts. They were dead on. You could spend more, but I think the law of diminishing returns will come into play.

Very difficult to adjust, but an extremely accurate miter gauge. All of my cuts have been perfect, whether at 90 degrees, 45 degrees, or anywhere in between. I have other Incra products and have never been disappointed.

I found this miter gauge to be excellent. It's indexing notches are dead on, the adjustable miter bar is a dream, and it slides like it is on ice. Makes me wish I had gotten one of these a long time ago.

This is a beautiful little gauge for my bandsaw and
my router table. I have added a small fence to help
stabilize my workpieces and the number of positive
stops is ample for these tools. Once adjusted, the
miter slot bar moves like glass.

Two screws with washers (or with washer heads?)were supposed to have been included for attaching a fence. Their absence didn't put me to much trouble, but some.
Otherwise, the miter gauge seems quite satisfactory.

The miter fence is good for general use with stock that one would normally want to miter. The guide bar length is a little short for support of heavy lumber cross cuts. I bought two of these Incra miter fences. (One was for jigs, the other for regular use.) I chose this model because I supposed it to fit the slightly narrow Sears Craftsman table saw miter gauge slots. One of the ones I purchased did fit great right out of the packaging. The other had to be machined, even with all of the adjustment hardware removed, before I could get it into the slots on my Craftsman saw. Anyone should be able to adapt one themselves using black oxide sandpaper. But, there may be a little extra work required.

Man, is this thing built to last. All steel, heavy, tough, and simple. It's far, far better than the pitiful miter gauge that came with my table saw, and well worth the money. 2 minor things I wish were different... 1. There is no indicator that extends out to the degree scale. If you want an angle that has no preset, you can only eyeball it and try to get close. 2. The slots for adding your own extended fence are HUGE 5/16 x 1. The instructions say "use washers"...yeah, no kidding. Overall, a very solid miter gauge I expect to get many years use out of. Kudos to Incra for making a good quality miter at a value price.

Great product. When adjusting the plastic slides on the rail I broke the allen head in the socket. They do require a good deal of tension to adjust. It is fine now but when I need to adjust it again I will have to replace the socket head screw. Other than that it is very solid and dead nuts on. You definitely need to bolt on an extender board to it.
