Throw your stock miter gauge away! Last summer 2010 I bought a contractor grade table saw second hand. Unfortunately, it did not come with the factory miter gauge. After using the V27 for over a year, I can confidently say that you should toss that cheap piece of junk that came with your saw. In addition to smooth operation, it has proven to be very resilient. I have accidentally dropped it on the floor a few times and it has only needed a quick adjustment once. It's a testament to the engineers who designed it and a real pleasure to use.

Overall a very good product, however, like another reviewer noted, the gauge fence is not 90 degrees to the table. I held my engineers square to the gauge and table and there is a very noticable gap between fence and tablesaw table and there is no adjustment built into the device for this. I plan to add an 18" fence to the gauge and I'm going to shim the fence out so that any lumber that is cut and butted up against the fence is 90 degrees but I feel as though I shouldn't have to do this to a brand new tool, especially one where the company is supposed to be all about precision. For the money, I will keep this gauge and mess with it because, for the most part, it is a solid tool, but I am a little disapointed. This is my first Incra tool and I was expecting more from everything that I've read about this company and heard.
