This is the second HTC 3000 mobile base that I've purchased. They're strong, versatile, and the locking levers work well. Make sure you understand which way to orient or place the curved locking shim that is installed for the wheels. It's easy to place it upside down in the wheel brackets, then once you installed the handle/lever above it and try to lock the wheel, you'll find out that you have to remove all the parts and flip the thin steel shim around. The only real complaint I have is that HTC doesn't offer this mobile base with 4 swivel casters as an option. I need that option with my small shop space much more often than the common 2 fixed, 2 swivel caster set-up that is offered on so many mobile bases.

I used this base for my MiniMax S45 Band Saw. It greatly enhanced my ability to make use of this tool. It was well worth my investment. I liked this product so well that I have purchased HTC 2000 units for my other woodworking tools.

Installed under a Delta JT360 6" Jointer weighing 210 lbs. The directions were not totally clear on assembly which resulted in a little frustration and figuring out. I am doubtful that the plastic lift levers on the swivel caster end are all that durable (even for my 210 lbs. tool). Not wanting to take any chances, I am lifting the one end of the jointer with my hands while stepping on the levers. Even though this mobile base is rated to 700 lbs., I would be hesitant to rely on it for anything over 300 lbs. at least as far as the lift levers are concerned. Regardless of these issues, I was satisfied enough with the performance of this mobile base that I ordered another one for my 200 lbs. band saw.

Assembled the base around my 1954 Unisaw. Easily adjusted to the correct size. Moves smoothly, and locks down well. Overall, pleased with the product so far.

Easily able to make a 52 x 25 Craftsman workbench mobile. Little effort to move it around shop. Well worth the expense.

I ordered this product for a 10" Rockwell Unisaw. Two bars were provided for each of the four sides of the stand and I was unsure from the instructions as to whether both bars should be used when the longest bar would suffice. They didn't say one way or the other. After trying it with one bar, I figured out that both bars must be used on each side. However, I wanted to bolt the bar to the corner piece with the bolts in the innermost and outermost holes of the corner piece. When I added the shorter bar to the other end, I had to move the bolts on the longer bar so that they did not interfere with the travel of the shorter bar in the corner piece of the longer bar, and also so that each bolt only went through two pieces of metal (it seemed that that would be a better arrangement than three pieces of metal.)
I found that the wheel wells were held to the corner pieces by four tack welds. Two of the four welds on one of the wheel wells (vertically) had broken loose so that the wheel well on one side was only held by two of the welds and would bend outwardly from the corner piece. I installed the wheels anyway and got the frame working, but I believe that at some point in the future the other two welds will give way and the whole thing will come crashing to the floor. I don't know how the remaining two vertical welds are holding that weight, and the wheel does not track parallel with the other wheel.
I installed the frame by myself with no help from a second person, which worked out okay. I had to tilt the saw and put it up on several 2x4's to get it off the floor so that the frame could be fabricated around the saw's base. Then when all was put together, I tilted it off the blocks so that it rested on the wheels. I have not yet installed the wheel locks; there is limited room between the rail and the body of the saw, so that I have to hold the nut with needle nose pliers while threading the bolt through the wheel lock and the side bar to engage the nut. Maybe the frame is too close to the saw body, but then I don't want any slop around the base.
I think the product could be improved by rewriting some of the instructions to read better and by welding the wheel wells to the frame with a weld along the entire side rather than just a tack weld at the top and bottom. This saw is heavy! (but not more than 700 pounds)

I put it under my '48 Delta Unisaw. It moves fairly nicely and stays put when I want it to. It does what I want it to, nothing more, nothing less.
