This is another excellent product from Incra. I was able to cut perfect box joints minutes after it was installed on my router table. I own the Rockler box joint jig also and if you are looking for a box joint jig I would recommend just going with the Incra.
This jig is also excellent for cutting precise dados and rabbets. The incremental adjustment is better than having a micro adjuster.
I highly recommend this for everyone with a router table.

This is a great jig! It lets one make precise cuts up to 1/32" that I would not even attempt otherwise. And the the cuts are repeatable. For me, this would be all but impossible to do by eye. It does take a bit of time to get used to but after you 'get it', it's indispensable. I've been using it on my router table and am seriously considering buying another just for the table saw.

I would say that this probably the best jig I have ever used, including shop made ones. I made a jig for box joints before using the table saw and dado blade in the past but, it just did not hold up like the commercial ones nor could I get as precise joints. I made 1/4" box joints with this one and the standard template that comes with it happened to be 3/8". So, I also ordered the booklet with the variable sizes and templates too (which is also great and well worth it). I think this jig is well built, calibrated to precise accuracy, and well worth the value. It is simple to use, the DVD is a fantastic added bonus and if you set this up like the directions tell you to, the jig does all the math for you!!. I never would have thought that I could go back over the cut that was just made and get it dead on the next time if I had to go deeper or the box joint was not wide enough. Not having more then 2 templates is the only thing that held this jig back to a 4.

After watching the well done, detailed video and reading the manual I started making drawers for a kitchen remodeling project. The Jig is well made, simple to use once you watch the video and read the directions. I look foward to making many more projects using this fine, economical jig.

Great product! Great price! Instructions are very thorough and the DVD is very well done. I was able to make a box with the 'coner post dovetail' of contrasting wood on my first try with this jig. As you can see from the product picture you need a good sized router table to use this jig but you should have a big table anyway.
The jig comes with complete instructions to build the fence and right angle jig. I was able to build them both in less than an hour out of some scrap MDF. You could also use the jig with a shop made fence that you already have. A wooden hand screw clamp will make the right-angle fixture much easier to use, so get one of them also if you don't already have one.

An excellent value for the money, one of the most versatile attachments I've purchased for my router table. If you're making a row of dovetails or box joints longer than the range of the jig (as was the case in the attached project), repositioning of the fence is required. This needs to be done precisely and is best accomplished with a shop-made spacer or some other technique. Accurate and secure clamping of the workpiece against the pushblock is essential.

This jig is very well made and extremely accurate. The only complaint I have is that the fence that you can purchase with the jig is not longer. If it was, it would be less necessary to remove it often to install a longer fence. The indexing is very possitive and as mentioned, accurate. A very good value for a modest price!

This Incra Universal Precision Positioning Jig is a great jig for making box or dovetail joints as well as using the router table as a joiner. This jig will work for you as long as the "Instructions ARE Followed" in my opinion; if you are having problems with this jig then refer back to the video that comes with the jig! The one most important part of using this jig is to: "make sure the guide will slide back and forth, this is just a tiny bit, to insure the tiny teeth are aligned properly" and this jig will work for you. I love it!

This seems to be a well designed and constructed for an economical accurate positioning device.
However, when I tried to follow the instructions for cutting box joints, I found the instructions incomplete. After the centering step the instructions read, "Begin with a scoring pass, then advance to the first visible mark on the template in one or two passes." Now, how does one make a scoring pass in the middle of the board? Obviously a step is missing.
The DVD was no help since it would not play on my DVD recorder nor on my computer. Rockler did send me another DVD but it would not play either.

I am making drawers for kitchen cabinets, however, the 3/8 inch box joints I made were so tight I had to really hammer on them to get them engaged. I was using MDF material. Does anyone else have the same problem?

I have only made one drawer with box joint, this is the best jig I have ever found baring none.
The only problem I have is the joint was so tight fitting, I had to beat the blank out of it to get it together..
I called the techs about it and they suggest checking the diameter of the 3/8 bit I used.. It should measure .375mm and mine measured .373mm .. Hope this helps others with the same problem. I give this a five stars out of a 5 rating.

Really can't tell you much I st it up and realized I can't use it on my RT1000XL router table because of the chip and dust collector system has a raised plexiglass shield behind the fence which is all made together.

This Incra Universal Precision Positioning Jig has added a new dimension to routing and woodworking. If you make your own fence (easy - and instructions are included) it will get you into a whole array of new cababilities.
I recommend it..... The how to video and manual are excellent; but, TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THERE IS A "LEARNING CURVE". But well worth the effort..
