I own a class B RV that had one of these push button latches in the hang-up closet. Shortly after I bought the used RV, the latch failed (worn out). So, I began searching for one like it and found it at Rockler. I winced at the price, but winced worse at the thought of having to rework that closet door with new hardware. So, I ordered the latch. It came quickly, arriving in perfect shape; installed in minutes and works like a charm. My RV is 10 yrs old. If the latch I replaced was original, then I hope to get at least 10 years out of the new one.

My motor home has these knobs on every drawer and cabinet and work well except for two which I just replaced. I also would hope they would look into making the knob metal and not plastic.

I have put 10 of these in a motor home. It is the best latch for doors and closets I have ever used. I have used them for about 7 years. I love the fact that you can tell if the cabinet is locked just by looking at it.

I used them because of the positive catch they provide. The only flaw is that the spring pushing the knob actuator pushes the actuator slightly out of alignment so the knob will not center and produce a beautiful finish position. The mechanism works perfectly in spite of this minor flaw and shouldn't keep you from using them if you have the need for a flush mounted locking catch. They keep the doors and drawers closed in my VW bus cabinets even in rough terrain motion.

I've had these in my Motorhome for 5 years really work great. But the push button is a piece of plastic junk, the brass peels off, the threads strip and deform so the push botton will not stay on. There does not seem to be a way to order replacements. This would be a great product with a metal knob!
