I used Gorilla Glue for the first time when I made my ribbon table. It was constructed from 3/4" Baltic Birch plywood with some fancy finger joints at the corners. As shown in the promotional video, I applied a liberal coat of glue to one side of the joints and sprayed a little water on the opposing sides. After I let it cook overnight, I returned to big globs of foamy sqeeze-out that I shaved flush in no time with a scraper. I've read that you should not expect the glue to work as a filler, but that's what it did for me. I couldn't have been more pleased with the results!

It is a great glue. It is easy too remove and has good open time. I use it for most any job and it has not failed

Gorilla Glue is a great water proof glue. I left a chair outside under a plastic tarp when it began to rain. The tarp tore in the wind and my wooden chair along with a wooden stool was drenched. The pre-manufactured stool became wobbly and separated at the seams. I used Gorilla glue when I constructed this chair and it held it together tight.
Thanks GORILLA

After my initial use of Gorilla glue, I thought it was the best stuff on earth. 10 or so years ago I had to fix the daggerboard on a Sunfish sailboat, which spends a lot of time submerged in both fresh and salt water. It seemed to work great. Since it foams, the unclampable splinters were held much better than a PVA glue would. Sure, it's messy as sin and the stains on your hands last for days, but it worked. The trouble is that the glue does not last. I stated using it for all my wood glue needs. That was a big mistake. Just about everything I glued with it has since fallen apart including the daggerboard. If you need a glue to temporarily hold together something that cannot be clamped, this could sure save the day. It is serviceable to binding wood to other materials, but remember that it really is just foam. The niche that this glue fills is much smaller than the marketing people seem to understand.

This glue does what it claims to do -- bond anything. However, I only reach for it when nothing else will work, because it stains skin very easily. You can end up with "gorilla paws" for a few days if you get some on your fingertips.
