Great price and excellent quality. Used the turning block for a "ball and claw" carving class. Worked great.

These pieces are exactly what I had hoped for.I've always wanted a couple of duck decors for the mantle. I think it's better when you make them yourself.

I am a beginner at carving I purchased the 20 pound assortment box very good for practice. I also purchased a couple of 4"/6" by 12" pieces for when I get better. Both very nice, I also love the smell of the wood when you work it or even just sitting still.

The stock was clearly heartwood with a uniform grain, no significant variation and no knots. The stock received was larger than the dimentions I actually ordered (received 4x4 instead of 3x4). I'll give the extra to my son who is 9 years old and just learning how to carve.

Excellent. Good clear wood. One block made 4 model airplanes for my grandchildren.
Good price and I got free shipping.

The wood is excellent to carve, consistent, smooth and one ninor blemish in one of the 10 pieces which just added character to the rose it rendered up.

These pieces of carving stock were perhaps the best I have ever used as far as grain and lack of defects. I'll definitely be using Rockler again.

My Sculpture students use this wood for their carved sculptures. The size and tight grain make this a perfect size for their assignments.
