Curio Cabinet Plan

Give your fine china crystal and other collectibles the showcase they deserve. Plan suggests using lights to put a little extra sparkle in your display. Windows on three sides provide an excellent view of your display. Hardware kit with Xenon light sold separately.

Curio cabinet measures 81-1/4'' high by 23-1/2'' wide by 10'' deep. The hardware kit (sold separately) includes: 2 pairs of #27003 3/8'' inset polished brass hinges 2 each #36467 Knob- 1'' Bright Brass 1 each 39676 2-Light Xenon Lighting Kit in Black 1 package of #30429 Clear Plastic Shelf Supports.

1) Submitted by John, from Navarre, FL on 7/31/2009 Customer Rating: I bought these plans about 5 years ago and just recently got around to building it. I used black walnut. I made a minor decorative design alteration or two but followed the plan sizes to the letter. Assembly was easy and all pieces fit great. The wife absolutely loves it- she's been waiting 20 years. I wouldn't consider myself an "excellent" woodworker, but I'm no slouch, either. Plans were easy to follow and in a very workable and logical order.

2) Submitted by Dale Harris, from Taylorville, IL on 5/10/2008 Customer Rating: I am in the process of building this unit. there are several things that are not covered in the plans. How do you hold the two units together (glue?) or do they just sit on each other. Should have more exploded views. Editor's note: two sections are glued and screwed together as noted per step 6 of the Base and Molding Details section of the plan.

3) Submitted by Jason Hoyt, from Loveland, CO on 7/18/2009 Customer Rating: Exploded views and detail views are horible. The plans do not show where these views are coming from. The instruction steps say "see exploded view" or "see detail view", which one? Instructions are not easy to follow and I am a Mechanical design engineer.
