I read a lot of complaining about the sizes not being stamped into the bars....what do you want for $20.00. You can simply make up an index card outlining which bar is which and put it in the case.

Anyone that uses a router table as much as I do, must buy this set. It's a time saver and it only took a couple of minutes to etch the sizes on all 5. That's quality and the price was right.

Work as advertised. Would help if they were stamped with the size on the bars themselves.

Great to have these on any job. Like the storage box. Would be nice if the bars were a little longer, and as others have said, size markings would be convenient also.

I recently bought the Rockler Box Joint Jig and was using drill bits for setup. This worked OK but when I got these setup bars and it made the setup simple. Now my joints are perfect every time.

These bars work great, there is no guess work for setting up your spacing. Just remember to set your spacing before you set your height.

Like that has been mentioned before. A little longer, but surely stamp the size on the END of the bar. I've already done that to ensure I'm using the correct size.

I use these with my router, router table, table saw, etc. I know you can use your combination square or ruler, but these just make the set-up so much faster. Also, no mistakes on reading the ruler wrong.
The only thing I wish the companies that make these would stamp the size on them. I just took a fine point Sharpie and wrote the size on them, so no big deal.

WOW... This is the greatest invention ever... so easy to check the depth of cut on my tablesaw blade and on the Router bits. Came in handy for checking the thickness of drawer bottom plywood for getting accurate cut to make the daado width and depth, no more guesswork. Couldn't do without it. Gets rid of the eyestrain trying to read the tape measure for thse jobs. This will be my new "must have" gift for all my woodworking friends.

I agree that it would be nice if the bars were stamped with sizes on them. I can add that the bars should be longer. The photo illustrates the point: the bars are not long enough to extend all the way across the insert around the bit on the table.
On my table--- I hasten to add that it's not a Rockler--- the insert is not perfectly flush with the table's surface but is slightly recessed, and, the insert is made of comparatively flimsy material. Thus the insert can't properly be used as the basis for a bit-height measurement.
The 5-mil precision of the bars is OK, but I'd like to see somewhat better precision.
The case has a familiar type of latch mechanism that is made of a the same breakable type of plastic as the rest of the case.
therwise, the bars have uses that make them worth the price.

What a great product for getting the exact mesurments on the router table or the tablesaw. They are percise and arrived in a great container to help prevent scrathes and dents on the brass bars. I would reccomend these to all persons who need to have the correct distance before making the cuts or using the router.

I purchased this product during one of Rockler's Christmas promotions. I got an excellent price on an excellent product. It is packaged well and is very easy to access and store. I have wanted to purchase this product for years but always felt that the normal asking price was just a bit high.

I purchased the set-up bars as a second set, as I already had a set by another Manufacturer. I was impressed by this set of bars - my original set only had 4 bars and were loose, I had to make a box for them. The set I ordered from Rockler came with a padded plastic case AND I got an extra bar (the 3/8" bar). I am very happy with the set, using them daily. They really save time for set ups on all of my equipment. If you use a router table or table saw - they will save you time. Great price too.

I bought a second set immediately after the first for router setup. Just what I needed. As for marking, I cut the size list off the box and glued it to the inside cover of the storage case. I would not want to pay the extra money to have them marked.

I love the bars. They actually they have a couple of other uses such as installing drawers on the bottom of cabinets you get a very precise line by using them. Really should stamp the size on the bar so you don't mix them up. I just used a sharpie pen and it worked fine. Although, a little difficult to write the size on the smaller sizes.

I don't understand why everyone's so enamored with this product. Mine came all scratched up, the case is adequate at best (likely to be cracked soon), and worst of all there are no markings on them indicating their size!!

They do work great, but I have to agree with several other of the reviewers. The only thing stopping them from a 5 was not having the sizes stamped on the bars or even a legend of some kind on the case.

Having purchased on impulse [along with digital calipers], I forced myself to use ... for "setting back" and setting depths on table saw ... easier with these than the DC. I agree that the bars ought to be marked. Have to retain the cardboard label to remind me what I have.
