This thin kerf industrial blade provides a superior finish cut with sliding compound miter saws. The 5° negative hook angle helps prevent the blade from being too aggressive and pushes the work piece down and towards the fence. Thin kerf blades remove less material than standard carbide blades, thus requiring less horsepower to produce equally good results.

The Perma-SHIELD® coating covers the blade plate and cutting edge in a protective layer, reducing heat build-up. Perma-SHIELD® blades resist binding in large volume cutting, reducing subsequent blade warp. The coating lubricates the blade, allowing it to spin freely, and eliminates pitch and debris build-up on the blade.

Also available with the economical Silver I.C.E™ coating.

Using this blade was like getting a new miter saw. It is now more accurate, makes smoother cuts with less vibration, faster and easier with less effort. I really had no idea what a huge improvement it was going to make. This is an awesome blade! If you just have a sneaking suspicion that you're current blade might be dull, Buy this blade. You will be amazed at the difference.

I use this 8.5" blade in my Hitachi sliding compound miter saw because it gives smooth as glass cuts even in plywood. It stays sharp about 80% longer than any of the other blades I have tried. Would not use any other brand since I have been using Freud. By far the best buy for the money.

I use this on the DeWalt 717 (10") sliding compound miter saw and I just finished a face-frame cabinet project. This blade is terrific on hardwood (oak), softer woods and even birch plywood or laminated MDF. In a pinch I have even used it on PVC pipe. The negative hook angle makes it very controllable. The cut surfaces are the smoothest I have even seen. I wish I had this blade on my old 8 ½” radial saw that I just recycled. The regular style blades were too aggressive for a sliding saw.

I'm using this blade in a Craftsman radial arm saw. It makes a glass-smooth cross cut in hardwood such as oak. I have several Freud table saw blades and this one is just as good as all the rest. Highly recommended!

I haven't used it enough to give it 5 stars. I recently put my Craftsman Radial Arm Saw back in service. I soon realized why I hadn't used it in a while. On my first cut with it the saw jumped forward as soon as it caught that first bit of wood. I wasn't in control of the saw for a split second and I didn't like that feeling. The first cut I made with the 10 inch blade was soooo different. There was no jump. I actually had to pull the saw through the wood rather than hold it back. It cuts smoothly through plywood with no splintering too.

This blade is being used on my Dewalt 705 compound miter saw. I have been using Freud blades on my table saw and miter saws for the past 14 years; experiencing nothing but the finest quality product.
