This is the second LU87R blade I have owned. I chipped some teeth on my first one ripping some used lumber and it was cheaper to buy a new blade than replace the teeth. I keep it for use on used lumber. This blade greatly increases the power on a contractors saw and cuts very smoothly. Smoother than I would expect from a 24 tooth blade.

This is the first Freud blade I've purchased, but it won't be the last. I bought it with intent of thinning (ripping) some oak and poplar for milling into shutter louvers. Although I have run a lot, yet, it has worked great. I will be on the outlook for a Freud finish blade soon for crosscut work.

I use hardwoods (mostly Oak, Walnut, or Birch). This blade is great. I can rip large pieces of theses woods without worrying about leaving burn marks.

I bought this blade over the weekend at the local Rockler store. I had read online that this blade was the best one to use for ripping use on radial arm saws. I have a Craftsman 10" saw that is somewhat underpowered and the thin kerf blade really makes the saw sail through lumber. I am very pleased with the performance of this blade. It makes very smooth cuts that are almost good enough to glue up without using a joiner.
