This blade gives new life to underpowered table saws and radial arm saws because the thin kerf does not require much horsepower. The Perma-SHIELD® coating helps this blade pull 1/3 less on the saw, which translates into over 33% more cutting power. The ideal working range is from 3/4" to 2-3/4" thick.

The Perma-SHIELD® coating covers the blade plate and cutting edge in a protective layer, reducing heat build-up. Perma-SHIELD® blades resist binding in large volume cutting, reducing subsequent blade warp. The coating lubricates the blade, allowing it to spin freely, and eliminates pitch and debris build-up on the blade.

The LU87R blade is also available for Festool, DeWalt, and Makita track saws.

I have used this blade Mahogany Maple and Oak. All I can say is AWESOME!! I wish I bought this blade sooner.

This is without doubt the finest blade I have ever used for ripping. I bought it after reading tech page. Would never believed it was this good without trying it.

Very efficient at ripping with a low-powered Craftsman table saw. Truly gives a "glue-ready" finish. I was ready to throw out my low- to medium-quality Craftsman saw because it cut so poorly, even with a new "construction" blade. I had so much blade runout and poor quality cuts, that I thought the saw was junk. This blade has made my saw the useful tool it should be!

This blade performed flawlessly. I used it to rip 2x4 lumber on an extremely underpowered table saw and it worked great. I would highly recommend this blade. Will definitely purchase again.

This is the second LU87R blade I have owned. I chipped some teeth on my first one ripping some used lumber and it was cheaper to buy a new blade than replace the teeth. I keep it for use on used lumber. This blade greatly increases the power on a contractors saw and cuts very smoothly. Smoother than I would expect from a 24 tooth blade.

This is the first Freud blade I've purchased, but it won't be the last. I bought it with intent of thinning (ripping) some oak and poplar for milling into shutter louvers. Although I have run a lot, yet, it has worked great. I will be on the outlook for a Freud finish blade soon for crosscut work.

I use hardwoods (mostly Oak, Walnut, or Birch). This blade is great. I can rip large pieces of theses woods without worrying about leaving burn marks.
