I am building a cherry cradle for my first grandson due in August. I had bad results with the blade that came with my Craftsman hybrid tablesaw. I thought about buying a Forrest Woodworker II blade but the price tag caused me to pause. Why not try the Freud thin kerf at half the price? I did and I can only say that the results are excellent with no buyers remorse. I know the Forrest blade is top quality, but so is the Freud. I cannot imagine that the Forrest blade could be any better than this one. I whole-heartedly recommend the Freud LU83R.

For lower powered saws, this is an excellent blade for those who do not want to change blades out all the time for different cuts. I cut oak all the time with a Ryobi BTS21R and this blade. Smooth as butter.

I found that the freud LU83R combination blade is an excellent saw blade for cutting any type of wood. I have had bad results with thin kerf blades in the past but I thought I'd try a Freud blade to see if it performed better. This one was a perfect choice.

My last experience with a thin kerf was in the middle ages. I decided to try again and was extremely pleased. My Jet table saw was delivered with a defective 3 hp. motor and the retailer replaced it with a 5 hp. motor so I do not lack for power, but the ease with which this blade cut 3 inches of cherry was stunning. I will have to reset my fence since the blade edge us further from the fence at a given setting than my standard kerf blade. My after market splitter also needed to be adjusted so it did not bind on the fence side of the more narrow kerf. Those adjustments being done, I am very pleased.

Excellent choice if you don't want to change blade every 5 minutes. Very silent and smooth cutting, highly recommended.
