The ultimate combination blade is now available in a thin kerf design with Freud's LU83R. The groups of five teeth include one flat tooth for ripping, followed by four alternate top bevel teeth for crosscutting and a large gullet for effective chip clearance. This blade also features laser cut anti-vibration slots, practically eliminating the vibration that resonates in standard blades. With this combination blade, there is no need for stabilizers.

The Perma-SHIELD® coating covers the blade plate and cutting edge in a protective layer, reducing heat build-up. Perma-SHIELD® blades resist binding in large volume cutting, reducing subsequent blade warp. The coating lubricates the blade, allowing it to spin freely, and eliminates pitch and debris build-up on the blade.

I needed a good thin kerf rip blade for my project and I spent quite some time reading all the product reviews for different blades out there. I settled for Freuds thin Kerf Combo Blade. Wow - a nice smooth quiet blade this is. It crosscuts walnut plywood with virtually no tear out, and rips stock lumber very smooth also. An exceptionally fine blade from Freud. Highly recommend this blade.

WOW! This blade is incredible. I've never spent over $20 on a blade, but the difference in performance is well worth the extra cost. I wish I had bought one of these 20 years ago. It cuts so much more smoothly, easily, and is whisper quiet. Highly recommended!

I needed a new saw blade for my under powered table saw.I searched over the blades and this one was the one that was recomened to me. It does everything I want it to do fast and quit.The teeth on the blade are very sharp over all constuction of blade is solid.Would tell any one this is a quility saw blade to use.

Wow, this is my fist good quality blade that I've ever used. It is so quiet, I honestly thought the blade was going down and not cutting the piece of wood at first. I honestly thought something was wrong... it was too quiet. The finish cut was as smooth as if I had run it against the jointer. Very impressed.

Recently purchased a Craftsman 10" table saw 15 amp, 5000 RPM and based on my research would require upgrading blade. I am building mostly shelves, bookcases, closet organizers, etc. so not overly demanding but need precision and quality on a budget. A visit to the Rockler store in Schaumburg and a brief conversation with the friendly staff lead me to this purchase. Thus far, wow! This blade cuts very smoothly and the kerf is just wider the blade itself. The selling point for me was when you click the blade with your thumb and forefinger there is no reverberation or vibration. A very solid, well made, and quiet blade. Cannot speak to the durability yet as I have just started using it.

Purchased this blade when the dealer was out of a thin-kerf Premier/Fusion. I was not disappointed in this less-expensive blade. As a matter of fact, I'd say its cut is comparable to the Premier/Fusion. I'd buy this blade again in a heartbeat. It whizzes through the wood.
