Freud LU89M Non-Ferrous Metal Cutting Blade

From Freud's New Industrial Series. Use the LU89M series blade for cutting thick non-ferrous metal such as copper pipe, aluminum extrusions and brass plate.

This heavy-duty non-ferrous metal cutting blade produces and excellent finish. Freud recommends use of a liquid lubricant, such as a spray of WD-40 every four or five cuts. Freud Model Diameter Teeth H = Arbor Kerf LU89M010 10'' 72 TCG -7 degrees 5/8'' .122'' Micrograin carbide tips thick enough for several re-sharpenings. Tri-metal brazing for long life and clean cuts. Kickback reducing design. Freud recommends ample use of a liquid lubricant when cutting. This can be accomplished with a squirt of WD-40 or other lubricant every four or five cuts, or with an industrial drip system. Wax sticks are not recommended. .5mm triple chip height. -7º hook angle. 10" blade has 5/8" arbor. .122 kerf. .098 plate.

1) Submitted by Rennie Heuer, from Nampa, ID on 2/26/2009 Customer Rating: I needed a blade for my CMS to cut some .5 x .25 aluminum bar stock that I was using for trim on some commercial furniture. I was warned by some that metal cutting blades can grab and that I might not get the results I was looking for. They were wrong. I did securely clamp each piece into the saw and took the cut slowly - the results were perfect. A clean cut that went like the proverbial hot knife through butter. I highly recommend this blade.
