Bought this as a gift for my Dad. He was using a Freud combination blade on his Jet table saw and was pleased with it. Then he used the Forrest Woodworker II. What a dramatic difference. This is a GREAT blade. All the positive feedback on this blade is true. You won't be disappointed with the purchase.

One of the few purchases that will instantly increase your accuracy and therefore, your personal sense of growth as a woodworker. The edges are so clean they appear shaved. For the expert or the novice, this tool is essential.

After debating the move to this well touted saw blade, I finally made the move several weeks back because of a new table saw purchase: a Bosch 4100, which is an even better saw with this extraordinary saw blade. It is unbelievable just how good this blade is. I was looking to add a planer to my equipment list. Not anymore, with the Forrest blade, I won't need it. Didn't believe it, but I now I know it's true. Thanks for the great blade!!

I just tried my first Forrest blade, and I'm amazed with its performance. I could not discern a difference between a sawn edge and the one from my jointer on some white ash. I will definitely buy another Forrest blade.

I have been using this blade now for some time and it is a winner through and through. It was originally purchased as a replacement to my Freud blade while it was away being sharpened but I don't think it will leave the saw anytime soon. Don't hesitate on this blade.

I have been doing woodworking for many, many years and I now work almost entirely with mesquite and desert ironwood. There is not another blade that cuts as smooth and fast as the Forrest blade. I have tried them all.
Thank you Rockler and your recommendation.

These are amazing blades! I have been an advocate for Fraud (which is also a great blade) but the Forrest just has that special touch to them. Its worth the extra money if you have it!

Especially at the sale price this blade is unbeatable. Generally recognized as the go-to standard for wood working blades, and that's why I bought it.

I have been a woodworker by hobby for 7 years and have used many other brands of blades. I finally decided to see what all the fuss was about with the Forrest Woodworker blades. I am truly amazed! I have spent as much as $80 on good blades but nothing compares to the quality of cut you get from a Forrest. It is well worth the money you pay, not only for the quality cut, but the time it saves from not having to "clean up" edges after they are ripped or crosscut. I will never go back to the "cheap" stuff again. THANKS Forrest!

Nice blade. Very stable laterally. Cuts well with minimal tear-out.
However, it is not very well balanced radially. With this blade my table saw vibrates significantly when I turn it off and the blade speed is running down. My saw is a 3hp Unisaw with a cast iron router table extension and a 3 1/4hp router attached. Plenty mass to absorb some minor vibration.

This is a great blade, after installing I checked the runout with a dial caliper and it was only .001. One observation, the blade is not a full 10" in diameter and will interfere will the riving knife if you are cutting anything less than a through cut.

If you care about woodworking the Woodworker II is the blade that you want to have on your tablesaw. It cuts so smooth and effortlessly that I find myself cleaning up freshly jointed edges. I suggest that you purchase the 1/8" kerf blade if your table saw is 3 hp or larger. I keep two blades in rotation, one on the saw and one sharp and ready. Forrest's sharpening service is great; it is fast, easy, and reasonable. I simply take a blade to the Mail center, drop it off and about a week later my blade is back at my door in like-new condition. Freud's new top end blade may be comparable in performance but with Freud you are on your own in finding a quality sharpening service. Buy the best, you won't regret it.

I had a Freud LU84 10 inch saw blade for 5 years. After numerous sharpenings, it became unusable. I was going to get the same blade, but after seeing the reviews of the Forrest Woodworker II, I decided I would spend the extra bucks and get it. Well I would take my LU84 back any day. Sure, the Forrest works well, but when ripping some red oak, I experienced chip out, even with a table saw insert. It produced a very smooth cut though. Not any smoother than the Freud. I don't have a stabilizer on the blade, and I didn't have one on the Freud. The Freud blade seemed to sing through the work, where this one sounds like it is ready to bind. I have a Delta Unisaw with a 3HP motor, so I know I have plenty of power. I think the Perma shield coating on the Freud makes the difference. Like I said before, the Forrest is a good blade, but for about 30 bucks cheaper, you can get one just as good , and in my opinion, better.

Have used many brands of carbide tipped 10" saw blades. Had looked at the Forrest Woodworder II but held off because of cost. Finally decided to try one.
This is the best blade I have ever put on a table saw.
It cuts like nothing I have ever seen or used before. The carbide teeth are extremely sharp, ripping and crosscutting hard maple and red oak with ease. Ripped surfaces are ready for glue up if one feeds the material through the saw at a slow speed. Mine produced better edges than I can do using my jointer.
One has to pay up for quality, but you won't be disappoined with the extra bucks you lay out to get the Forrest Woodworker II.

I have used Forrest Woodworker II for several years, for the most part, 90% of the time this is the blade that is on my Powermatic 66. It is hard to find a better blade that is a true combination blade which will give superior results time after time.
Hint: keep the blade clean, if one cuts resinous woods often, take the blade off the saw at the end of the day and clean it. It will perform better and your resharpening periods will be farther apart.
Superb product.

After using the Freud 80 tooth for a couple of years this blade was a dissapointment. It is not as smooth as the Freud in very hard wood and cuts a wider kerf. It left burn marks the first day out of the box in Brazilian Cherry.

The most expencive blade I have ever bought but also the best blade I have ever used. I was cutting some used wood and sawed into metal. I almost had a heart attack. The wood was from a set of bunk beds. In the end was a hole about the size of a nickel. I was shocked to find a penny and two nickels stuffed into the hole My saw blade made hash out of the copper penny. The blade still cuts as if nothing has happened. I am thankful it did not hit the nickel. The copper did not faze the carbide tips. Not that I would advise cutting copper. I very truly like my Forrest woodcutter II blade.
