Had a lot of fun making this for my daughter. Had to change the sides from dowel pin to square to match the cedar. She loved it!

Verbal instructions are scant at best . Could use better descriptions of assembly steps . Was disappointed when I read them through .

I made a couple of modifications to the original plans. Inset the railings and turned the stretcher board vertically instead of horizontally. Added braces under the mattress board and a complete bottom across the entire cradle body. I wouldn't rate this as a beginner's project. It is a good plan to use as a basic starting point though and you can change it to suit your needs or taste. The quilt and bumpers pads were handmade as well but not from this plan. :-)
(A proud grandmother made this cradle herself!)

Diagrams are clear, however, I had to go to a local store in order to double one of the components because it was printed at 1/2 scale. For the price, a full scale should have been included.

Will be trying as a beginning project. Plans are very straightforward, with some areas left to figure out yourself, such as joining the end piece halves. How big a spline, grain, optional doweling might be an option, that is not addressed.
