Designed to give long life and excellent finish on the top and bottom of laminates, melamine & veneered plywood. The laser-cut anti-vibration design yields the plate acoustically dead. This reduces the sideways movement of the cutting edge to prevent chipping in manmade materials such as laminates. This dramatically extends cutting life and finish. No scoring blades needed with this blade!

The Perma-SHIELD® coating covers the blade plate and cutting edge in a protective layer, reducing heat build-up. Perma-SHIELD® blades resist binding in large volume cutting, reducing subsequent blade warp. The coating lubricates the blade, allowing it to spin freely, and eliminates pitch and debris build-up on the blade.

I use this blade to cut polycarbonate and acrylic sheeting 1/16 - 1/8". It does a superb job with no chipping on either the top or bottom side. This saves much time in not having to dress out saw cuts on the edge. Also, it does not over-heat and melt the plastic. I am very happy with the performance of every Freud blade I have purchased.

Top side is excellent on Melamine and Plywood, but the bottom side in Melamine shows slight chipping. On plywood crosscutting, the bottom side tears quite a bit. It's better than a general purpose blade and the top side is really perfect, but 2-sided: not really.
