Easy installation: simply replace the outer blade washer of your miter saw with the laser guide unit. Does not fit 12" Ridgid, Pro-Tech, Makita LS1221 and DeWalt DW705S miter saws produced before 2005. Does not fit Porter-Cable Quick-Change, Skil and worm-drive circular saws.

My cheap miter saw has a slight amount of play if I apply side pressure when cutting but, with the laser guide it is easy to keep on the mark. In fact, I find it a great time-saver because I don't have to draw a complete line across the board for most cuts. just make sure the laser lines up on the mark. Between this laser guide and a brand new blade, my old cheap saw is wonderful to work with.

2) Submitted by Bill Chapman, from Rockport, ME on 10/12/2009 Customer Rating: The laser that came with my Bosch miter saw was always between 1/16 and 3/32 off and then quit completely. This one is dead on. No more double marking and hoping I'd get it exactly right. Just get the laser line on the cut line and the cut is accurate the first time.

Before I install will it work. Editor's note: This guide will not be compatible with DeWalt DW705 or DW705S produced before 2005.

7) Submitted by Neil Sjulson, from Mequon, WI on 7/6/2009 Customer Rating: I wasn't sure if it would work on my older Dewalt power miter box. But, it fit right in place. When I turn it on, it projects a line immediately to the left of where the cut will be. It speeds up the cutting by my knowing exactly where the cut will be. I also know that if there is no red line on my fingers, they will be safe.
