Attach two hoses of different diameters together. A step down in size by a reducer increases air velocity near the machine where it's needed most. Available in two sizes.

Shop Vac Adapter (sold separately) works with 2-1/2'' Hose.

34654 Shop Vac Adapter
Small end has a 2-1/4'' outer diameter and a 2'' inner diameter. Large end outer diameter is 2-7/16'' for 2-1/2'' hose.

89195 4'' to 2-1/2'' Reducer
Has 2-1/2'' outer diameter and 2-1/4'' inner diameter on the small end and a 4'' outer diameter and 3-11/16" inner diameter on the large end.

This item is just what I've been looking for to adapt the dust hood on my planer to my new Vortex system. I only which they would mention that it requires a sleeve that fits over the 4" ends of the reducer and the dust hood.

It works great to step down the 4" pipe on my Dust Collection system to other various smaller equipment. But what they don't say is that this works best with Schedule 35 sewer pipe and not the schedule 20 they have stated in the catalog. I find that the green 4" sewer pipe works the best for a good tight leak free fit.

I just bought and old Rockwell/Delta 6" belt/disc sander and it has a 3" dust port. This adapter fit it like a glove and made it quite easy to hook up my dust collector to it.

Perfect, perfect, perfect. I use it to adapt the 4" dust coil hose item #22971 to my Ridged shop vac that has a 2 1/4" O/D hose.

My dust collection system is made with 4" metal ducting. The 4"/2" reducer allows me to transition from the 4" metal to the 2" Rockler hose which then connects to the dust collection ports on my router fence and drill press fence. They fit exactly and made the installation easy. I just ordered the third one to use as an auxiliary on my bandsaw.

Great price and works great. Don't forget that the reducer is 4" diameter the same as most saw outlets so you sill need the tubing to connect the two pieces. Combine this with an "I-Socket" and my work area stays a lot cleaner.
