My dust collection system is made with 4" metal ducting. The 4"/2" reducer allows me to transition from the 4" metal to the 2" Rockler hose which then connects to the dust collection ports on my router fence and drill press fence. They fit exactly and made the installation easy. I just ordered the third one to use as an auxiliary on my bandsaw.

Great price and works great. Don't forget that the reducer is 4" diameter the same as most saw outlets so you sill need the tubing to connect the two pieces. Combine this with an "I-Socket" and my work area stays a lot cleaner.

Nothing wrong with the product, but it was not what I expected. I think it's to connect a standard shop vac to a 2" hose?
I thought it was to adapt a 2" hose to a vacuum hose so I could clean up.
Editor's note: 34654 Shop Vac Adapter small end has a 2-1/4' outer diameter and a 2' inner diameter. Large end outer diameter is 2-7/16' for a 2-1/2' hose.

Not what I expected. The 4" port does not fit onto the 4" port from my very standard table saw (the O.D is the same size on each side creating 2 male sides). I'll make it work, but will need to buy 4" hose and additional hose clamps.

I was very disappointed that this reducer did not work with my Craftsman jointer/planer. The 4 inch side was the same size as the port on my jointer so the reducer would not slide onto the port. I had to tape the reducer to the port.

I needed it to go on my G-0555 Grizzly Bandsaw. I failed to double check & measure the 555 4" opening requirement. As a result, the adapter did not fit the bandsaw. The adapter would have had to be 4" inside diameter instead of outside diameter.
I basically cut 6 pieces of ply 5" x 5-1/2", routed a 4" hole into them, glued 5 pieces together, sanded, drilled & tapped for a holding screw, and painted it!
The adapter works GREAT! As a result of my brain NOT working so good, I had to work it out. I am very happy! It works like a charm!
I purchased #89195 4" to 2-1/2" reducer.
Overall pic showing how the pieces were made...
This is the finished adapter without the Rockler adapter inserted.
The Finished Adapter for the Adapter...
It works like a charm! Just GREAT!
Better than the stepped adapter taped to the band saw before!
Finished Adapter ready for use!
