This is exactly what's needed for coupling my 4" flex hose sections together. I wasn't sure how well-suited this splicer would be because I thought there would be some variation in terms of the diameter of 4" hose supplied by different companies.

After buying the Quick Connect fittings and seeing how loosely the fit together I decided you use the splicer whenever I needed to hook up my table saw. Works get when you attach the hose with the clamps with the thumbscrews on them.

This splice connector also fits perfectly into standard 4" PVC not the Schedule 20, but the more commonly available thick-walled PVC, making it an ideal way to step down from the PVC to a 4" flexible hose.

I purchased the 4 inch splicer and it works great. Inserted easily and is holding very well, and I move the hose around, alot, as it is the only hose going to multiple tools.

I got the splicer to fit into 4" clear flex hose and it works just as you would expect. It fits snugly into the flex hose, and since I move my hose from machine to machine as I go, I don't even use a clamp. I plan to set up a more multi machine system in the future, and will need more of these.

I purchased it to connect my PC sander to the dust collection. It works OK (significant improvement but a little heavy on the tool) - I think I need to do a bit more tweaking though.

Solely a hard splice for 2.5-inch flexible hose. Unlike some splices on the market, this unit will not couple to Shop-Vac male ends

Splicer I received (with SKU number I ordered) was sized for hose insertion into splicer. I needed to be able to insert splicer into hose as shown in catalog. Had to return and postage used most of what refund I will get.
