Grey, Blue and White Shims can be combined to shave .070'' off an edge.

Slip one or more of the shims between the aluminum fence and the MDF behind the outfeed part of your fence for edge jointing.

You can't beat the price on these shims. They are not meant for the smaller Rockler Router fence, but that was an easy fix. I had to add an additional slot to fit the smaller fence. Pretty easy after securing all in place with only one bolt & then drilling through all shims. The hole was then elongated with a dremel using a drum sander.

Wery cost effective, has worked very well in aligning materials to build cabinets and book shelves. Provides a great took to set thickness and accuracy.  Can't beat the price.

I've been looking for something like this for some time. Had resorted to using striping tape on the back side of my fence to set it out. These are the perfect solution.

When I first bought them I didn’t think I would be using them all that much, well, I was wrong, I use them a lot.

Just FYI: these shims do not fit the Rockler Deluxe Router Fence (30136). The slots don't line up.

Somewhat difficult to remove, otherwise a very affordable approach to making my new Rockler Router table more versatile. I priced out DIY methods using various materials and couldn't beat the price or out-of-the-box ease of use.

A very cost effective add-on for my new Rockler router table. These shims are durable and makes for an efficient set-up in order to joint a new edge. The various thicknesses provide an excellent method for setting just the right amount of cut. A great buy!

I found it much easier to set up with shims by placing the thickness you desire behind the outfeed fence. Then place the same thickness either in front of or behind the infeed fence. Then use a straight edge to set the fence so the straight edge just touches the cutter blade. Test with scrap to make certain you are just barely touching the work piece. Then remove the shims on the infeed fence. You will then remove exactly the thickness of material equal to the shims behind the outfeed fence.
I note one possible improvement which could be made on the shims. When dropped behind the fence they are somewhat difficult to remove. If they were longer, they would stick out from behind the end of the fence as far as the end of the metal angle mounting bar. They could then be removed with ease. I tested this with some handmade shims. Works great!

The pre-cut slots don't fit the Bench Dog ProFence that comes with Package #2, but a pair of scissors easily fixes that. The method described in D Down's review is the way to use them. They greatly increase the versatility of the router table. It's a great way to avoid having to buy a jointer and still make nice tight joints.

I needed the jointing shims for my Rockler router table I also found that they work well for shimming my backstop on miter saw.

These were purchased to shim the fence on a different router table than they were made for and of course the bolt holes didn't line up. However, being made of thin plastic, it was an easy enough task to trace one of the slots onto the other shims and then cut new bolt clots in to all of them with a small pair of scissors. A punch was used at the top on the thicker shims, to produce a nice rounded edge. They are very bendable, so did not break or crack.

I have recently purchased and used your jointing shims for the Rockler router table. The set-up was quick and easy and I was jointing in minutes. After a few practice runs with some scrap the results were perfectly jointed edges for a project I am currently working on.

Fits the basic Rockler fence just fine, works exactly as advertised. Perhaps a little pricey for the 6 pieces of plastic you get, but does the job.

Good idea, but the slots don't line up with various fences. It would be an improvement for the product to have the pre-cut slots allow for some horizontal movement. I had to cut additional slots to fit into my fence. I bought the shims for jointing on the router and don't really need a set of six. I would pay the same money for one or two shims with different slot patterns to better fit the variety of fences on the market.

The shims are fine - the thicknesses were accurate and consistent, and the plastic is tough enough for the intended use. Actual package: four 0.010", one 0.020", one 0.040" (total thickness of 0.100" possible)
I am using these on my own home-made fence, so I have to cut another slot in them to match my bolts. It would be nice to offer a set of these shims with no slots - they would work better for customizing to the many fence designs out there, as well as miscellaneous applications in the shop.
