Four Sheets of 3/4'' red oak plywood.
50 board feet of 3/4'' red oak
15 board feet of 1-3/4'' red oak
4 board feet of 1/2'' red oak
8 board feet of 1/4'' red oak

My friend Larry and I built this unit so Larry would have more room in their bedroom/office. It was a wonderful project and they love it. We added the cabinet to the left and extended the counter all the way across and added bookshelves above for a built-in look.

Plans were difficult to read. The connection on sub components were not well defined. Expansion of the plans with different reference point to show how components fit together would be beneficial. The written instructions were very good.

Thought I was ordering a vertical plan, but it works with the room. I rated it good because the written instructions are extremely confusing. You may have trouble it you have trouble reading plans.

I ordered the plan in error. I thought it was for a vertical bed. Customer service responded to my need to return the plan and told me a complete set of plans were included in the other product I purchased which was the vertical queen size murphy bed hardware. Excellent customer service.

I was looking for plans for a vertical murphy bed. This plan is for horizontal. I guess I did not pay close enough attention. Most of the accompanying pictures (Bookcase system, Vertical Mount Murphy bed hardware) were of vertical units. Guess I will have to translate the plans.

Editor's note: All hardware packages include plans for building a cabinet of a basic design. For building a vertical bed we recommend using the plans that come with the hardware package. The plan in this offering is a custom plan with a fold out writing desk that uses the horizontal full or queen size bed hardware only. The pictures accompanying this offering are of the custom horizontal design.

The reason the rating of good was of the plans. I thought I ordered the plans for a vertical mount the plans I received were for horizontal only. Was A waste of money.
