Tired of trudging across your shop to turn your dust collector on and off? Now you can automatically operate your dust collector by simply opening or closing your Dust-Gate right at the machine you are using!
The switches on all Dust-Gates are wired to the central control box in parallel, so that when any of your gates are opened the dust collector turns on. If several gates are open, the dust collector will not turn off until all gates are closed.
Easily installed onto 4" dust collector hose or pipe.
Control box is activated by a low-voltage signal along 22-gauge wire.
Connections can be made with quick-connectors and wire nuts.
Switches on gates are low voltage, manually operated.
Start-up kit includes Dust-Gate, control box, wire splices and 100-foot low-voltage wire.
Choose from 110V (for up to 1.5 HP dust collectors) or 220V (for up to 3 HP, single-phase only).
Expansion kit allows you to expand your Dust-Gate system for multiple machines. Includes two Dust-Gates, wire splices and 100-foot low-voltage wire.

Sure makes it easy to use the system. I have 5 different machines hooked up to the collector and these save me a lot of walking.

I am using it instead of a remote... Ran the wire down the 4" hose and I can move the end from tool to tool and turn it on when I need to. Will use it as intended when I finally get a shop (not a garage that I move from every 3 years...USMC).
It's good to go.

These gates work as designed. They make turning on the dust collector and isolating suction at certain locations extremely easy and efficient. The gates themselves are built like little tanks and are very sturdy.
I only have two small complaints; 1) the wire connecting devices they supply are poor (the wire twist nut connectors are too large and don't bite onto the wires and the crimps they give to connect the wire to the switches are hard to work with), so I just used my own connecting devices and 2) the switches are attached to the gates in a joke of a way. Instead of being built into the gate, the switches are merely just screwed on to the underside of the gate with two ridiculously small and thin screws. One of the gates I received had the switch already fall off during shipping because the screw wasn't holding (JDS did replace the gate for me at no cost or hassle though, very nice).
But overall, this product is great and works well so long as the switches don't fall off over time.
