Drill holes that have extremely smooth sides, a flat bottom, and no surface
tear-out. High carbon steel bits are perfect for doweling, mortising, pocket
holes, hardware installation and more! Cleanly cut through side grain, end
grain — even knots, plywood and composites.
- Includes 5/16", 7/16", 9/16", 11/16", 13/16" and 15/16" bits
with 3/8" round shanks.
- Great for instrument mounting, cutting arcs, overlapping holes, and
boring through veneer or other thin materials.
- Bits have two bottom cutting edges that efficiently shear through
wood.
- Exterior cutting rim, along with the inner brad point, keeps the bit in
position on the workpiece. As the rim cuts the outside “circle,” the bit’s
two bottom edges quickly cut out the inner wood.
- Wide flute openings allow for fast chip removal.
- Unique tapered rims help prevent burning.
- Pre-sharpened and ready to use in any type of wood.
- For use with a drill press or hand drill.
- Comes in durable plastic case.

Needed 7/16 for a jig I'm building to match the outer diameter of a router guide bushing. Picked these up and am pretty impressed. Seemed to cut smoother than my Porter-Cable forstner set, and the price is competitive. Really don't have anything bad to say about these bits.

Worked great right out of the box, even on rock hard blood wood. Just what was needed to mortise in quadrant hinges.

If it's the same quality of the regular Forstner bits, it's good value. Can't beat the price. Good to have on hand when you ever so need that fractional size.

I purchased these because of the excellent pricing and just had a chance to use them. They performed well. The only question unanswered at this time is durability.

I was unaware that Forstner bits came in 16ths. These will add to my compltete set of standars size purcahse a few years earlier from Rockler. Good quality and cannot beat the price and free shipping. Keep up the very good service and quality products.

The perfect compliment to the 1/8" increment set that I already had. Now I have a full set. Very handy to drill out for the tuners on the bass guitar my son is building. Maybe that is why he got them for me?

I bought these knowing some day they'd come in handy, and a few days after I get them my wife asked me to make a flag holder for several girl scout flags that happened to be on 5/16th dowels. What luck!

It is great to have those smaller size increments for specialty work. The quality of the bits and sale price made this a fantastic buy! Nice box too!

Just started into woodworking about a couple of years ago ..Not a pro... But functional and enjoyable and have started building my shop in my garage ...I decided to, instead of buying one build a router table and found myself in need of a Forstner Bit Set ....I have looked around at different sets around locally but decided to wait ...Then I seen your sale and promptly bought them ..
And they work great should have gotten them long ago but glad I waited ..Great price...I will be coming back as I build ....Depending on the economic situation....LOL... Thank's Rockler for your prompt service.and great merchandise

My primary work is craft woodworking, scrolling and box building. I find that these fractional bits add to my normal bit collection as I use this type of bit regularly in my work.

This set rounded out my collection of Forstner bits. The fractional sizes fill needs that crop up weekly in my shop. The price was right, too.

I needed a 7/16" Forstner bit but could not get one locally. Your full set of "fractional" bits at this very reasonable price solved my problem.

I recently repaired a niece's rocking chair by replacing the rockers. I discovered that the chair legs required a 13/16th hole verses the common 3/4" hole. I couldn't find a fractional bit locally, nor through several other woodworking tool sources. I found this set from Rockler and soon after I received this set, I completed the project. The bits are well made, and I anticipate using them often in the future.

I'm glad that I browsed thru the catalog and found this 1/16" set of forstner bits. This fills in the bit sizes that I often needed but didn't have at the time. Prior to buying this kit, I priced a 5/16" bit that was close to the price of this entire kit.

I bought both the 7 piece and 6 piece fractional Forstner bit sets on sale. A few of the bigger bits had some nicks and burrs in the machined surfaces. The smaller bits were perfect. All the bits cut through dry oak with easy. These aren’t the highest quality bits money can buy, but they’re good for the price, and a bargain on sale. I would recommend them.
