Intelligent plug-in switch automatically controls a vacuum or dust collector through the power tool’s on/off switch! Eliminates continual running of vacuum to preserve the vacuum motor life. Ideal for miter saws, table saws, sanders, routers and planers. Easy to install — just plug it in!

Control two tools at the same time! Now you don’t have to remember to power the vacuum on and off during every cut — the i-socket does it for you. Automatically turns on the wet/dry vacuum or dust collector when the tool is powered on, and continues running for an additional 7 seconds to clean out the inlet pipe after the tool is powered off. On-board micro-controller controls the in-rush of current and delay off. Designed for medium-duty work loads in the home workshop and on the job site. Can be used with any standard 15 amp/125 volt wet/dry vacuum or dust collector system (max 1.0 HP) or power feed unit. For indoor use only.

I've been using vacuums for different smaller tools and had to always turn them on/off manually before and after each cut. Now I don't have to even think about it. Just got to make sure my Vacuum is empty now. :)

Before I bought this I had to walk across my crowed shop, turn on the vac and walk back to turn on the power tool. Now I just turn on the power tool, the vac comes on, and I smile.

This socket allows me to plug in my jointer and vac into the same outlet and what makes it even better is i don't have to turn on and off the vac, this thing does it for me automaticly. When ever I turn on the jointer or planner or drill press and so on, which ever tool I am using at the time. It's great.

I hooked this up to my shop vac and my sander and it operated just as advertised. That is wonderful.
