The mounting holes do lineup. I was confused at first on why they didn't, but I realized the holes are not at an equal distance apart. The mounting holes are located to form an rectangle, not a square. Buy the center tool to center the base with the collet. It makes it easier.

This thing is an engineer's pipe dream. The holes in the plate did not even come close to lining up with the mounting screws in the router body. I was eventually able to mount it to the Colt Palm Router only after recentering the plate to the router collet and then drilling new mounting holes in the plate.
On a more positive note, having the large plate on the router by itself is great and being able to use standard PC type guide bushing is a bonus.

I just received my base today and installed it without any trouble. The holes lined up perfectly. If you look at the base, there is a line etched in it. This line goes toward the front of the router. I plan on purchasing the line up tool RA1150 soon to make sure that I center the base correctly. I have not used it yet, but I don't see any problems that might occur. It would be nice if it came with a small zip lock bag for the rubber o-rings and the screws

Required expanding the mounting holes in order to get the bit centered in the template guide that I was using. I would have expected the plate to be a bit more precise than to require almost .030 inches of adjustment before it would work properly.
"Have been a return customer for a number of years, and a recent experience has really cemented that bond for me. After using my Rockler lighted magnifying lens for a few months, one of the wires from the battery pack came loose. When I contacted Customer Service to inquire about sending the unit back, they instead sent me a brand new one - no questions asked, no return expected, no charge whatsoever. This simple step - coupled with top quality, innovative products - ensured my repeat business more than any other advertising technique or gimmick could ever do.
Keep up the good work, Rockler!" -
