Stainable and paintable latex formula wood filler is specially formulated to accept all Minwax penetrating wood stains. Quick drying, sandable and easy to clean up with soap and water. Ideal for reparing cracks, gouges, nail holes, knot holes and other defects in all types of unfinished indoor and outdoor wood surfaces.

So far I am very pleased with this product. I used it to fill in between new legs added onto what was left of the original legs on an antique buffet that had for some reason or other been cut off years ago making the buffet into a very low credenza. The second time I used the wood filler, I repaired the top on one of my Grandmother's old small tables that the veneer on the table top had cracks in it. I mixed a small amount of the stain I was using on both projects into the putty, and then filled in the cracks and filled between the legs. You have to really look at the table top to find where the cracks were. Both blended very well. Am very satisfied. The table looks much better and the buffet is useable now because it is taller.

Filled nail holes on cherry wainscoting and this product would not accept their own stain. Had to replace all the stiles.

Very poor. Would not accept stain! I tried to use it to fill some pretty minor cracks while refinishing an exterior door. I used a dark stain, and the wood filler looked nearly white in comparison. Now, I have to go back and remove the filler and stain again.

I AM VERY UNHAPPY with product. It says STAINABLE it is not, it fills cracks and holes well sands easily just does not take a stain, should only say PAINTABLE. I have to dig it out and try something else. Do not waste your money on this product unless your going to paint your project.

I used the product on a bartop to fill brad nail holes. It looks worse now than if I would of if i left the holes as they were. Since it was made by the same company that makes the stain I used I figure it would be a safe bet, boy was I wrong. This product is a joke and ruined a nice looking bar.

Won't accept stain. I thought it might be due to the use of oil based stain but according to the product this shouldn't have been an issue. It must be due to the fact I didn-t use Minwax stain, but I'm not buying that argument.

Product is not stainable, I used it to fill cracks on a chair from the 1930's I stained the chair with Minwax stain and now I have to remove filler because it sticks out like lighting in the night sky.
