The Work Sharp™ WS3000 Includes:
- Work Sharp unit

- Crepe stick for cleaning abrasives
- PSA abrasive kit (150mm to be adhered to glass wheels: P120 ceramic
oxide, P400 aluminum oxide, P1000 aluminum oxide, Micro-Mesh™
3600 honing abrasive; slotted abrasive kit with P80, P400 and P1200); and
2" x 2" abrasive P400 ceramic oxide for the heat sink/lapping surface.

The Work Sharp is simple to use. Just set the adjustable angle and sharpen.
No calibration is required for changing wheel diameter, and there’s no
need to change between fixtures, grade wheels, or move from machine to
hand sharpening to achieve a razor-sharp edge. Coarse grinding for rapid
shaping and micro-fine honing is in one port!
- The system’s repeatability allows you to sharpen multiple tools at
any combination of angles and abrasive type without extra setup.
- Routed airflow and heat sink system keeps tools cool without the mess
of a wet system.
- Sharpening port enables you to select desired bevel angle and sharpen
precise, repeatable angles of 20°, 25°, 30° and 35° for
chisels and plane irons up to 2" wide.

I absolutely love this product. I was a little leery at first but I opened the package and within a few minutes I had put a razor sharp hone on a couple of chisels I had pretty much left for dead. Its nice to see a product that works exactly as advertised. The learning curve on this machine is very shallow and would recommend it to anyone, like myself, that is "sharpening challenged".

Another XMas present ... the XYL know how to pickem. Took the worst chisel I had (skewed, dull, knicked, etc.) and put it through the paces. In less then 10 mins I could shave the hair off a knat. Beats the old scary sharp method I've been using for years. The large blade attachment was a blessing for my wide plan blades ... worth the extra bucks. The large blade plate wouldn't align up to the wheel but the company sent me some washers immediately that took care of that problem. I found it difficult to take the knob off once the washers were in place, but found that if you grab the plate and pull it the same time you try to loosen the knob it becomes a no brainer. Now if they would make a knife sharpener attachment similar to the 2000 it would make it even better. The only problem I have now is everyone in the neighborhood want me to sharpen their planes and chisels. Great piece of gear!!!

I've only had this sharpner for two days and I have sharpened just about every tool I have to include several knives. I put a razer edge on all my knives and I can even shave with my chisels. I'm very impressed with this product and have recommended to several friends. I started out with a delta veraible speed grinder, but was not impressed with it at all. This system cost me about $60 more, but was well worth it. I showed my neighbor how sharp I was getting my tools and he brought over six or seven knives and a pair of sissers to sharpen. He was really impressed with the WS 3000. Thanks for providing me a great tool. If you could have a design that would enable you to sharpen router bits, that would be great. I have been doing wood carvings for about 38 years and this is the best sharpening system I have ever used.

Like many others, my "tried-n-true" methods of chisel sharpening were marginal at best. I didn't know just how meager my efforts were until after I purchased the Work Sharp 3000. The instructions are excellent. The materials are 1st class and the product delivers as stated. My so-so sharp chisels took on a mirror finish and I even added a micro-bevel just for grins!
The only thing I would add is a larger table to facilitate knife and scissor sharpening. Also, the leather hone seems to work ok..I'm still working with it. I'm not much of a block plane guy, but after sharpening my planes, I have a whole new outlook! Thanks again.

I have used the Work Sharp WS 3000 to sharpen two chisels that were so dull and nicked up that a miracle was required to get them back into working order. The miracle was the WS 3000. Easy to use and the results are wonderful. My chisels were never this sharp.
The only thing I would change with the WS 3000 is a longer ramp to make the chisels more stable while sharpening.

I love the Worksharp WS 3000. You cannot beat it for sharpening plane blades, chisels, and lathe and carving tools. A big improvement would be a reversible motor so knives and scissors could be sharpened.
