He had recently purchased a new Delta Unisaw and needed this out of his garage. It didn't have a safety switch - so this one does everything it is supposed to do. Great Product!

I feel much safer with the switch when turning the router on and especeially turning the router off. I never did like having to reach under the table to turn the router on or off. Great product! Does everthing it is suppose to do.

4) Submitted by Andrew, from Panko, NJ on 8/28/2009 Customer Rating: Works as advertised and thus greatly increases the safety of whatever tool you are using (I have mine on my router table so I don't have to reach underneath the router/table to turn it off. The large "stop" paddle makes it easy to turn off the switch with a bump of your thigh so you don't have to take your hands or eyes off the workpiece or tool itself. The cords are a very thick gauge and the plugs are sturdy feeling. I don't have any complaints about the product, just a small observation that I was surprised at. The "stop" paddle isn't actually the off switch. It is merely a loosely hinged paddle that rests freely on top of a smaller stop button underneath the paddle so that when you press the stop paddle, it presses on the stop button. It gets the job done nonetheless, but it feels a little cheap that way. I've seen other large safety paddle switches like this (such as on the SawStop tablesaw) where the paddle itself is the switch. But for only $30, the current design is good enough and a good value too. Overall, a great product and I have no regrets about the purchase.

Greatly increases safety as the large OFF button is easy to bump with my knee so I never take my eyes off the cutting area or my hands off my project.
