This is the ultimate formula for removing minor imperfections in the finish, and creating a professional, high-gloss, “wet” polish. It can be used either by hand or with a mechanical buffer on almost any fully cured finish. Offered in the original (#5) grade for excellent gloss and quick results. Pint.

  • Designed to replace the traditional “tripoli and oil” final rub on gloss finishes.
  • Contains no silicones or waxes which could interfere with additional finish coats, touch-up, or refinishing.
  • May be applied with a soft cloth, felt rubbing block, or a low-speed electric buffer.

I was looking for a polishing product that would go onto my foam buffing pad easily, and after reading the review and description on here, it sounded like it would give me what I wanted. After trying it out for the first time, I couldn't be much happier with the results. Something I found out, though, is that it's essential to have a nice evenly sanded finish before you polish. If one spot has not been sanded enough with the same grit as the rest of the piece, it will not be as glossy even with the polish. However, once I made sure to get the finish reasonably flat and evenly sanded to about 2000 grit, this stuff worked wonders. I used my Porter Cable polisher with a foam pad on a medium speed, and it only took two rounds of polishing the surface thoroughly to get a high gloss. The dried excess comes off fairly easily with a clean paper towel and doesn't leave any streaks or residue on the surface once it's all wiped off. Overall this stuff is outstanding and I can't wait to use it on future projects. Definitely recommended!

I purchased the buffer's polish after a reccomendation from my father who has done woodworking as a hobby for the last 10 years. I currently have been doing woodworking for the past two years, and was completing a very high end shadow box and was looking for a professional finish. Since then I have used it on several other projects. I have used it on shellac, polyurethane, and varnish and got the same results no matter what type of clear coat I used. Mirrored finish every time. Application and clean up are easy and not much polish or effort is required as long as you wet sand first to remove any runs, brush marks, or if spraying, orange peel. It will leave a mirrored finish that you can read the fine print on the lable in. Well worth the minimal cost.
