This finish soaks deep into wood pores to provide protection from the inside out. Because it hardens inside the wood, it will never chip, peel or wear away. Made from a unique blend of penetrating oil and varnish that stains, seals and protects in one easy step, it enhances the natural look and feel of the wood, and creates the rich, warm glow of a hand-rubbed finish. Great for furniture, trim, molding or any other bare wood interior surface. Simply wipe on with a brush or cloth. Quart.
- Use only on dry wood from which all previous coatings have been removed.
- Flood surface using a brush or cloth, applying additional finish to areas that absorb all of the liquid.
- Allow to penetrate for 30 minutes.
- Reapply, allowing an additional 15 minutes of penetration.
- Wipe surface completely dry.
- Ready for use in 8-10 hours.
- If a topcoat such as polyurethane is desired, allow oil to dry 72 hours before applying.
- Coverage: 100-150 sq. ft. per quart.
- Clean up with mineral spirits or paint thinner.
- COMBUSTIBLE! Dispose of all rags according to manufacturer’s instructions.
Please note that this item can only be shipped by UPS Ground to addresses within the continental United States.

This has a mellow tone and need not be polyurethaned. Better than a stain and it can be sealed. Already have another customer wanting it also.

I am refinishing an antique vanity. I stripped all the layers of old paint off and went to find some Watco in town here - couldn't find the correct color - there were very few options. Against my better judgement I bought some Minwax and used it. It was just terrible. I hated the finish! I stripped the Minwax and ordered Watco from you - the finish is just beautiful and I am so proud and happy with the results. I will forever be a faithful customer!

I have used the product for years on oak and pine and found the texture and finish to be great final product. I have found that if you apply the natural and then add a color you can lighten the color for the piece. The natural acts as a sealer that prevents to much of the color of a second coat to penetrate to deeply as a result it give a lighter appearance.

A recently purchased book on bed construction recommends using a danish oil finish. I'd just completed a small computer desk and decided to try the finishing method. The desk is built from pine with a solid top, A/C pine side and rear panels and legs, rails, etc milled from stud grade 2X4.
The application method was a bit different than what's noted on the can. First coat was applied with a rag and wiped after 15 minutes - nice color. Next coat (next day) was applied with a rag and worked very wet with 320 grit wet/dry paper, then wiped. - richer color. Third coat (again a day later) applied with rag and worked very wet with 400 grit wet/dry paper then wiped - very nice satin luster. The next day, I applied paste wax using 0000 steel wool. When I buffed the wax, I was amazed.
At four days, it's not a quick way to finish, but it's easy, almost fool proof and the result was the best looking finish I've ever put on a piece of wood. I'm a convert.

This product is very easy for anyone to use and brush cleans up like new. One coat was all it took to match the original piece. Would recommend this stain over all I've ever used. I used it on 1/4 inch Oak plywood for a back panel and Oak veneer along the front. Project turned out excellent; no one can tell that I altered the original item.
