Deft® Waterborne Clear Wood Finish

This is a waterborne 100% acrylic finish that dries to the touch in just 30 minutes. It has very little odor, cleans up with soap and water and boasts the performance of lacquer in a water-based acrylic formula. Goes on crystal clear and will not yellow over time. Application is easy with a brush, pad, roller or spray gun. Provides good resistance to water, alcohol and stains, and boasts excellent adhesion to both finished and unfinished items. Self-leveling formula. Superior durability with strong mar resistance. Quart. Semi-Gloss.

Lends a deep, rich look to interior wood, furniture, cabinetry, paneling, antiques, wicker and crafts. Works well on rose woods and other exotic hardwoods. Dries to touch in 30 minutes. Apply thin coats to avoid drips and runs. Allow 2 hours dry-time between coats. 3 coats recommended. If thinning is needed, use water. Cleanup with soap and water. Allow 8 hours before light use. Not recommended for wood floors or exterior use. Do not apply over a stearated lacquer sealer. Coverage: up to 100 sq. ft.

1) Submitted by Jim Wilson, from Hermon, ME on 3/24/2009 Customer Rating: Long time amateur woodworker, always hand finished everything even though not really satisfied with many results. Broke down and bought spray gun and used this product recommended by local Rockler Store manager. Good results. I thinned it 30% Deft 70% water. One piece of advise for the novices like me, if you think it needs one more spray, DON'T!
